From Saint-Jean-de-Luz to Hendaye, the route runs along the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and offers beautiful views of the protected cove of Socoa. Then, the route rises on ridges, spectacular and panoramic, before plunging back down to the large beach of Hendaye.

A 100% safe bike ride that takes you to the departure point of the Train de la Rhune. You'll cycle along the Nivelle valley to the village of Ascain, before taking the old tramway track, now a greenway, to the Col de St Ignace. It's a great way to discover the valley and a responsible way to get to the Train de la Rhune.

During autumn and winter storms, off the Basque Corniche, the giant wave Belharra sometimes forms. This wave, as rare as it is immense, bears its name in reference to the rocky spur from which it was formed: the Belharra Perdun. Thanks to certain climatic conditions and a strong swell hitting this underwater spur, waves of 10 to 15 metres high form in the Basque Country! This wave is only surfed by a handful of professional surfers. With Nazaré in Portugal and Mullaghore in Ireland, the Belharra surf spot produces the biggest waves in Europe and the world.

The church Saint Vincent becomes parish church in1573, it is distinguished by its octogonal bell tower pagoda-shaped. The main door "end of renaissance era" framed by fluted columns with ionic capitals carried out in 1888 such as the interior restoration of the church.

The 1676's antic fountain adjoins the big Shipowner's house, Olet Baita. It was bequeathed in 1995 to the municipality by Mister Robert Morel Francoz. In the shape of sharp obelisk of 2m of height, it was the main place of supply of the city center before the water conveyance at the beginning of the 20th century. Town of charm an tradition of the Basque Country, Ciboure is primarily the city of sailors ans artists. Fishing town and shipowners, Ciboure experienced its heyday at the wedding of Louis XIV in 1660. To relate this rich historical past, many guided tours are offered by the Tourist Office. Ciboure closes several classified monuments : - The house of the birthplace of Maurice Ravel, built circa 1630 wich welcomed the Cardinal Mazarin. - The tower of Bordagain dominates the bay, old chapel of Our Lady built in the late sixteenth century. - The church of St. Vincent that stands out for its octogonal bell towe. - Fountain dating from 1676. - The art déco Villa Leihorra built by the architect Josehp Hiriart.

A convent was built in 1611 by the franciscan monks of the branch of récollets on a small island in the middle of the Nivelle whose property had never been determined. The chapel was ended in 1613 then the convent in 1643. In the center of the court of the convent, a well-tank was built in 1662 thanks to the generosity of cardinal Mazarin on the occasion of the marriage of Louis XIV. In 1791, the monks were hunted by the Revolutionaries.

Located in the little port of Socoa, almost 100 years on, Chez Margot offers excellent traditional and local cuisine, based on fish and seafood, with a breathtaking view of the fort and bay of St Jean de Luz. This famous traditional restaurant was opened in 1930 by Margot, or rather Marguerite Olascuaga. Originally from Fontarrabie, she lived in Socoa, a small district of Ciboure. She began cooking for the local fishermen who wore their sculls. A few "summer guests" accompanied these fishermen and enjoyed the meals. Thus began Margot's good reputation. A large terrace completes the restaurant's facilities.
