Departing from the Gourgé village hall, you'll set off on a 27 km red difficulty trail. It's a really interesting route, both in terms of scenery and technical difficulty, as you alternate constantly between asphalt and paths. The route is a real pain in the ass, with numerous ascents and descents. You'll cross the River Thouet several times at ford crossings, so be careful not to slip in the water! This route can be split in two by cutting through the village. A 13 km loop to the south and a 14 km loop to the north.

Departing from the church in Aubigny, you'll set off on a 15 km trail of moderate difficulty. Most of the route is on farm tracks, with stretches in the undergrowth, and a few short stretches require careful footing. There's a nice straight stretch on the way, which will make you work on your perseverance! You'll pass close to the Château de la Roche Faton, with its splendid view. You'll also discover a rich heritage with numerous wash-houses, wayside crosses and a dovecote.

Departing from the church in Lhoumois, you set off on a 10 km trail of easy difficulty. This course is aimed at beginners who are ready to progress to a higher level of difficulty. You'll ride mainly on wide paths and stretches of road, with many single-track sections requiring concentration and agility. This route will take you to the Forge à Fer on the banks of the Thouet, a place of great historical interest.

Come and discover the fauna and flora of the largest lake in the Deux-Sèvres department, which is both a drinking water reserve (a water treatment plant is associated with the dam) and an ornithological reserve. Property of the Conseil général des Deux-Sèvres, the Cébron lake offers a multitude of landscapes changing with the seasons. It presents an important biological richness and shelters in particular numerous species of birds. Come and discover its biodiversity by taking advantage of the many nature activities offered on the site (nature outings, exhibitions, hiking, fishing, sailing...)! The gîte is located in the heart of the medieval quarter. On the first floor, there is a garage for bicycles and strollers, but no cars. The second floor comprises the master bedroom with double bed (140 cm x 190 cm) overlooking the medieval street, a second bedroom with two single beds (90 cm x 190 cm), a study, toilet and shower. The interior of the gîte is non-smoking. Down the street, you'll find a bar-grocer's store 50 meters away, as well as other bars and restaurants 200 meters away, near the Saint-Jacques tower and the Thouet river. Situated in the cemetery, this hosannah cross is dated from the 12th century. According to the article by J. Berthelé, the cross in the Gourgé cemetery was shaky in 1884 and, in 1889, it had collapsed. A. Bouneault drew it in its complete state from the fragments he saw on the ground. It was no doubt he was the one who restored it after it was classified as a historical monument on March 16, 1890.

This 12th century bridge, built on stilts, was listed as a historical monument in 1889. It was withdrawn from circulation in 1961 after the construction of the new bridge Narrow, thick, almost horizontal, its deck rests on eight small round arches. Its spurs, sharp and protruding, reaching the height of the parapet have allowed the development of pedestrian shelters. The roadway was dug with two grooves used to guide carts so that they do not bump along the sides of the carts parapets. They were removed during the restoration of the bridge.

This 15th century dwelling is a rectangular building flanked to the west by a large, one-storey, truncated circular tower and to the east by a watchtower on brackets, later transformed into a dovecote. The façades are pierced with mullioned windows. Two bretêches, carried by brackets and decorated with trilobes, defend the primitive accesses. The interior retains a spiral staircase with a square stairwell, as well as medieval fireplaces.

Mentioned as early as 1179, burnt down in 1417, the Château de Guy de La Rochefaton was rebuilt in the 14th and 15th centuries by Mathurin Pidoux.
