Since then, they have continued to delight young and old alike, sheltered from the Atlantic swell by the Channel Islands and warmed by the Gulf Stream. Barneville beach is a popular summer spot for families and young people alike. In addition to its impressive expanse at low tide, numerous events are held here every year. "During the summer months, a supervised bathing area is set up on Barneville beach, with a maximum length of 200 m and a maximum width of 100 m, delimited by two identical red and yellow flags and yellow spherical buoys, in accordance with the beaconing plan attached to the present decree. The size of the supervised bathing area is subject to change, depending on specific hazards and weather conditions: - yellow flags, the bathing area is reduced; - red flags, the red and yellow delimiting flags are removed -Demarcation of the supervised bathing area is the responsibility of the lifeguards responsible for beach surveillance. The bathing area is supervised during the period when the beach lifeguard station is open, as defined by municipal decree. -ACM (Accueils Collectifs de Mineurs) leaders are required to report to the lifeguard station before any swim. In the supervised swimming area : - the use of motorized watercraft and water sports activities (sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, paddling, etc.) is prohibited. "Lifeguards from the A2S association will be on hand to supervise the bathing areas when the flags are raised.
