Hike to the ancient Castelviel Oppidum, on the heights of Aiguèze

The Via Rhôna, from Lapalud to Caderousse, is a temporary signposted route in southern Lapalud on the left bank towards Vaucluse. The itinerary winds across the agricultural plain as far as the Canal de Donzère then continues onwards to the foot of the Fortress of Mornas and on to Piolenc. From Li Piboulo lake, you have two options. Continue towards Caderousse along the greenway bordering the Rhone. Join the Roman town of Orange and its famous triumphal arch. About 3.8 km from Lapalud is Girardes lake, where you can go swimming or choose from a variety of water and leisure activities. Make your way gently to the Provençal village of Caderousse surrounded by dykes protecting it from the unpredictable Rhone.

The Via Rhôna is a Eurovéloroute that links Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean and crosses the Vaucluse over approximately 72 km, divided into 2 stages: stage 17: Lapalud - Caderousse/Orange stage 18: Caderousse - Avignon

The Concluses de Lussan is an exceptional site, with its rugged, lunar appearance. The extraordinary view of the rocky escarpments and cavities in the river bed give the site its full measure and splendor. Departure from Lussan from the Concluses parking lot. Follow the path down to the Portail des Concluses, the last stage of the trail. The return journey takes the opposite route. Ecosystems, geology, human occupation - all themes illustrated by reading tables along the way.

The distance for cycling around the Massif d'Uchaux is between 16 and 42 km.

The Concluses are long natural gorges and rocky corridors carved out over time by the Aiguillon river. Discover an exceptional panorama and ecosystem. Departure from Lussan from the parking lot at the foot of the village. Head for "Les Concluses" on the D259, following the "Le Vallen" hiking sign for 1.3 km. Then take the right-hand path for 1.6km towards the Prade sign. Turn right and follow the signs for Les Concluses for 2.2km. Turn left and follow the Concluses interpretation trail, which will take you to the viewpoint where you can observe the panorama. Return to Lussan by turning back. From the Concluses parking lot, follow the "l'Espesviel" sign for 1.3km. Go straight on towards "la Grande Croisière" for 300m, then join "la Clapeyrolle" via the D643 for 600m. Turn right to follow "Lac de Mercouire" for 1.4km. Turn left, then right onto the D143 for 1.4km. Take the track on the left to join the "Gammeile" sign, then turn right to take the D143 back up to the village parking lot. Do not venture into the Aiguillon riverbed during periods of high water, thunderstorms or from January 15 to June 30. Some sections are more strenuous than others, requiring you to negotiate rocks. Some slippery passages in wet weather on the lower section.

In a setting with oak trees mainly predominating, the hiking trail leads up to the highest point of the Serre mountain, at an altitude of 549 metres, providing some truly exceptional views.

This greenway is exclusively reserved for pedestrians, cyclists and rollerbladers.... Signposts are installed all along the walk. It crosses the town from east to west, from the rond-point de l'Europe to the Espace de loisirs Saint-Paul 2003, passing through the gardens and strong heritage features of our town: Jardin Saint-Vincent, Orchard des Enfants de Barbière, Jardins du Resseguin. In the evening of his life, George Besson, in agreement with his wife, donated his collection to the French state, with part of it deposited in Bagnols-sur-Cèze. As a result, the Musée de l'Amitié is proud to present a number of emblematic masterpieces of twentieth-century art, including Marquet's Le 14 juillet au Havre, Matisse's La fenêtre ouverte à Nice, Bonnard's Bouquet de fleurs des champs and Van Dongen's Portrait d'Adèle Besson.

Nestled in a complete verdant space, the “Chartreuse de Valbonne” unfolds its atypical architecture and proudly displays its multicoloured tiles, with a Burgundian trace. Founded in the 13th century, it occupies the small valley within the beautiful forest of Valbonne which still contains today rare essences in Provence. Though before, this small “oasis” was a swampy valley only. The efforts and patience of a dozen monks were needed to clear and cleanse the area, before the vaults of this edifice could be raised. The place then became the vallis bona, where the name Valbonne derives from. It has been listed as a historical monument since 1959, and the Charterhouse kept the authenticity of its monastic cells from its centuries of history, and they are now re-established for our visitors with the utmost fidelity. Around the Charterhouse, come and wander through its interpretive trail leading you to the forest, while bringing a well sought-after freshness during the summer.

The Fortress of Mornas Queen of the Rhône Valley, Proudly set atop a 137-metre-high cliff, the Fortress of Mornas was originally a bastion of military defense. Occupied since ancient times, the site reveals its history from its origins to its desertion after the Wars of Religion. Today, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages, as you stroll through these 12th-century walls. In the heart of the fortress, you'll find some of the finest buildings in the fortress. Here you'll find the attic, the fortress's salt vault, the treasure of Mornas. Discover the journey, use and importance of salt throughout history, and discover the barbican, the surrounding walls, the keep and a breathtaking view of the Rhône valley. The fortress is open from Easter to October 31. It can be visited either : - An animated visit: lasting around 1h15, this is an immersion medieval history. You'll be immersed in the atmosphere, with costumed characters and impromptu situations. These tours are accompanied by tour guides. Suitable for the whole family - The self-guided tour: allows you to discover the fortress at your own pace, with documentation detailing all the important points of the site given to you on arrival, and explanatory panels along the way.
