The Fortress of Mornas
Queen of the Rhône Valley

A veritable military stronghold, occupied since antiquity, it invites you on a journey through the centuries, from its origins to its abandonment after the Wars of Religion.

Cross the XIIᵉ century walls and plunge into the heart of the Middle Ages. Discover its emblematic buildings: the keep, the barbican, the ramparts and the granary, a veritable fortress safe where salt, Mornas' strategic treasure, was kept.
