Surprising walk where you will discover clay pitons shaped by erosion offering a show of forms and colors where a particular fauna and a flora settled. Not recommended the day after the rain because the ground is slippery. The Fosses de Fournès form a lunar landscape with very strong geological features. It's a special place for the flora and fauna that live there. Kermes oaks, wild lavender and rosemary blend into the clay landscape. The former clay quarry stretches along a gentle gradient that keeps you going up and down. The slopes are designed to make your walk easier. There's something fascinating about the landscape, which will take you on a journey from the Moon to the Gardon, via the vineyards. Not recommended after rain, as the terrain is very slippery. From the Grand Rue parking lot in Fournès village, turn left towards the Mairie. Walk along the stadium, then past the cemetery. Follow the route de théziers, then turn left at the Parefeuille factory. Follow the road for 1km, then turn left towards Les Fosses de Fournès. Along the way, you'll come across pitons between ten and thirty meters high, the highest of which is called "La Mourre de Pitaraçon". Then continue towards Fournès via Les Escarpettes. Turn left towards Fontaine de Nocquet, then left again to reach the village. You will pass the Cave Coopérative to reach the Grand Rue parking lot.

Les Castillones" is the name of the ridge that proudly dominates the village from the west. Discover an exceptional panorama going from the Dentelles de Montmirail to the Mont Lozère passing by the Mont Ventoux, all in the heady scents of the garrigue. From the parking lot on avenue de la République, go to the place des Halles. Turn right on rue Henri Pitot then turn right to reach avenue Jean Moulin (sign "Aramon-Le Choisity") Turn left to take "l'avenue de la Gare" then left "le chemin des amandiers". Follow the red and white markings of the GR42. Turn right on "le chemin des oliviers". Pass over the railroad tracks and continue straight ahead. At the intersection turn right "chemin de plane d'houmé" and continue straight on for 2.6km (sportive climb). You will pass near the signs "Croix de Garbure", "Les Rompudes", "Combes de Gibarau" and "Taoule Messe". At the "Portail de la Planet d'Oume" turn left and follow the path (yellow markings) for 2km. At the sign "Les Castillones" turn left and continue the path for 1.4km. At the signpost "Quartier du Fangas" go straight on for 300m then turn left at the signpost "Valorière" to return to the village of Aramon by the "Croix de Garbure". Then take the path of the departure (red and white markings).

Nice family hike through the woods to discover the ancient remains of the Roman Aqueduct up to the Pont du Gard. This walk plunges you into the scrubland, the olive groves, the dry stone walls, the forests of green oaks... From the Place de la Madone parking lot in Remoulins : Go up the street near the Tourist Office (Place des grands jours) and cross the Remoulins new bridge. At the traffic circle, turn right and drive past the Communauté des Communes building. At the "Combe Pradier" sign, turn left and head towards "le sablas" for 2.5 km (uphill). At the "le sablas" sign, continue straight ahead on the GR6 (red and white markings) for 500m. At the "Valmale" signpost, turn right and continue on the GR6 (red and white markings) for 1.5 km. You'll come across remains of the Aqueduct on your way and a superb panorama of the Pont du Gard. Descend the path to reach the monument. To return : Right bank, turn right "Pont du Gard" for 500m. Pass the ticket office and take the path on the right at the "Combe de Roussière" sign. Then join the path alongside the road, which leads back to the village of Remoulins for 2.5 km.

Through the garrigue, discover the site of the "vallon d'Escaunes" and the tunnels dug by the Romans for the passage of the aqueduct. From the fortified church of St Bonnet du Gard enjoy the panorama of the Rhone valley and the Mont Ventoux. From the "Chemin du Sablas" parking lot (town hall) in Saint-Bonnet-du-Gard, head towards "la place de la Fontaine". Then cross the D6086 (be careful) to reach "rue de l'Hôtel de Ville" and climb up to the fortified church. Continue straight on, following the red-and-white signs: you'll pass the "Ferraud" and "Sous Ferraud" signposts. Turn left onto the path and follow the yellow markings for 800 m to the "La Draille de Perotte" sign. At the fork in the road, take the left-hand path for 300 m to reach the Roman tunnels. Follow the signs for "Chemin de ronde", "Le Vallon" and "Le Roliss" for 600 m, then go straight on to join the "Chemin de l'Aqueduc". When you reach Sernhac, continue straight on until you reach the "Chemin des cavaliers", then turn right to drive alongside the multi-purpose hall. Follow this path for 900 m, then turn right to reach the "Pied de Vallajouse" sign (yellow markings). Continue straight on for 1.2 km towards Saint-Bonnet-du-Gard. At the intersection, go straight on ("Garrigues Brasses"), then join the D6086. Turn right to find "Place de la Fontaine" (take care when crossing) and the Sablas parking lot.

Follow the route taken by the Roman aqueduct to bring water to Nîmes. Discover the stone used to build the Pont du Gard and many other local constructions. Departure from the parking lot of the wash house in Vers Pont du Gard Follow the "route de Misserand" to go to the second wash house. Red and white markings of the GR63 Urbain V. Turn left at the signpost to "le Pont du Gard". Pass near the remains of the Roman aqueduct. At the traffic circle of Vers pont du Gard, cross the road straight ahead (be careful) and enter the site of the Pont du Gard on the left bank by the "sentier de Mémoire de garrigue" (signpost Pont du Gard). For the return: Take the "Valive" path after the hundred-year-old olive tree (red and white markings on the stone steps). At the intersection, at the sign "Pont Roupt" continue straight on in the direction of St Pierre for 1.1km. Pass near the St Pierre chapel. Near the hotel la Bégude St Pierre, take the path on the left to go around it, then the path on the right to go towards the D981 to cross it (caution) and join the path of la Bégude (yellow markings). At the end of the path, turn right onto the "chemin du Mouras" and then the first left (crossing the greenway). Turn left on the "chemin de la cave coopérative" then right on the "rue de palézieux". Turn right on "la rue de la poste" which will bring you back to the center of the village.

Come and discover Saint-Michel de Frigolet Abbey , in the heart of the Montagnette massif! From the car park, head for the Saint-Michel de Frigolet Abbey. Take the path on the right that goes along the wall. Follow the rocky track towards "Boulbon 1h", then 100 m after the trail on the left. At the next intersection, continue in the middle of the kermes oaks to the track to cross twice. 1- At the next crossing, follow the indication "Boulbon 50mn". After the small collar, go straight down, then climb a second hill. Shortly after, cross the drivable track at the end of the valley to go up on the hill opposite. Cross successively two other valleys. Continue, leaving the basin on the left. 100 m after, cross a track, then take the path towards a factory chimney visible in the distance. 2- Then descend to Boulbon, through the valley of Saint-Michel. At the end of this gorge, turn right and follow the marking of red dots to access the Bonnet mill and its panorama (30 min return trip). Once back at the foot of the gorges, reach the village by the Gaston de Raousset street. 3- At the junction of the end of this street (fire hydrant), take the left for Barri street, then the second right on Météline street. Continue on the Breuil path, to the road. 250 m after the purification plant, turn on the road on the left marked PR (yellow), then find the road again on 100 m. 4- Take the intersection and follow “Pas de Bouquet” path. After 2 km, turn left towards "Saint-Michel de Frigolet abbey 1h40" by the San Salvador path. Continue for about 3 km. 5- At the highest point of the Montagnette (San Salvador, 161 m), dive by a small path on the right. At the crossing in "T” form then take a left. At the next two crossroads, always take the left. 6- Turn right on the track, then at the junction forming a triangle continue to the right. Find shortly after the departure path, "abbey of Saint-Michel of Frigolet 10mn".

This walk will make you discover the heart of the Gorges du Gardon up to the magnificent and wild site of La Baume. It is the only itinerary that goes along the Gardon. Not recommended in case of recent rains, the banks may be submerged in some places. To park on the parking lot (paying) 2 avenue du Pont du Gard in Collias Take the direction of Pont St Vincent and follow the path on the right which goes up the Gardon, direction "La Baume". Continue straight ahead to find the yellow markings and the signs "Queue du Grand Glas" then "Vallon de la Caille". At about 750m pass a small passage which goes along a big rock. Continue straight ahead to find the ruins of an old mill. Continue straight on for 300m along the river then go up on the right by a narrow path which continues then by a track direction "La Coufine" on 2.2 kms. * At the crossroads, turn right towards "les Condamines" by the GR6-GR63 Then always straight on towards Collias by following the red and white markings to reach the signs "La Grande Terre" (stay on the GR6-GR63 and leave the track which leaves on the left), then "Ménude" and Collias. You arrive in Collias by the path "Vai Aure". At the crossroads, turn left "chemin du Barry". Turn right to take the "Grand rue" which crosses the village to reach the sign "Collias - Le Portalet". Turn left and go up the rue de la République. At the end of the street, turn right into the Avenue du Pont and walk 150m to reach the Parking. * A variant can be proposed to you by taking on the right direction the Chapel St Veredème. It is then possible to join the plateau of garrigue and the GR6-GR63 by a steep path " Les Condamines Sanilhac.

A nice family hike in the shade which offers magnificent panoramas on the surrounding cliffs. You will discover the cave of the hermitage dating from the Neolithic period and the Romanesque chapel of Notre-Dame de Laval dating from the 12th century. From the parking of the market place in Collias, cross the bridge of Collias and pass the Maison du Castor. Turn left at the signpost "Le Grand Devois" and follow the yellow markings. Then, during approximately 600m, you will follow the Gardon on the right bank to arrive at the signpost "le Cantadu". Take the left path (stone cross) towards the Hermitage for 1,7km. You will arrive on the site of the cave of the hermitage and the Romanesque chapel Notre-Dame de Laval.*. Then take the track on the right towards Collias and "Contadu" for 2km. Then continue on the main path following the yellow markings. You will find the path taken at the beginning of the hike. * Possibility of a variant by the big loop (12.2km / 4h15) At the sign "Grand serre" turn left and follow the path for 3.1km (yellow markings). At the signpost "Caunèze" take the path on the left and follow the path for 1.9km. Continue straight ahead. At the signpost "la Torte" go straight on for 3.8km to reach the village of Collias.

If you want to cycle from the shores of Lake Geneva to the beaches of the Mediterranean along the Rhône River, here's the ViaRhôna! At the end, turn left onto the road that diverges from the river, passing the TGV bridges at Les Angles. At the Les Angles TGV bridge, turn right onto rue du Chêne Vert At the end of the street, turn right and cross the Pont Daladier You're now in the center of Avignon.

In the Middle Ages, the name “Condamine” referred to some lands that were directly put in culture by a lord, amongst those from the lord’s property. After the French Revolution, the gardens were divided between the farmers who were then able to farm them as they wished. The low walls made of grey stone were built according to the Provençal tradition and symbolised this first sense of property amongst the villagers, while protecting the crops from the wind and avid goats! More than a memory from our local history, the Condamine Gardens are first of all a lively part of our heritage, and they continue to bring the inhabitants of Tavel together, who still farm the parcels out of passion for botany and gardening! Remoulins is an ancient fortified town located 2 km from the Pont du Gard. Worth a visit: The 12th-century church, Notre-Dame de Bethleem and its bell tower, the ramparts, the Saint-Martin chapel, built in honor of Charles Martel, hiking. Remoulins is located at a strategic crossroads between Avignon, Nîmes and Uzès. Just 2 km from the Pont du Gard, and on the banks of the Gardon river, from which it takes its name (les remous du Gardon). You can discover the remains of the fortifications and its tower. As early as the 4th century, Remoulins was founded on the Marduel oppidum, which in the 2nd century became known as Sainte-Colombe. Remoulins was fortified (ruins of the ramparts on Place du Portail). The village suffered battles first between lords, then between Catholics and Protestants. The village was enfranchised in the 12th century and remained so until the Revolution of 1789 (450 souls in the 18th century). Remoulins suffered from the Wars of Religion, sometimes taken by the Catholics, sometimes by the Protestants, and the village ended up bloodless and the population ruined. It was at this time that La Salvetat or Castel Vieille was built, the lords' residence whose windows with capitals and pilasters can still be seen today. After 1789, Remoulins was more or less spared major political events.

The Porte Calendale is a Romanesque gateway at the northern entrance to Barbentane. The recently restored Porte Calendrale commanded the northern entrance to Barbentane. There is a wonderful view of this gate from the end of the Grand'Rue. All that remains of the 11th century ramparts is a defensive tower which was transformed into a prison and used until 1826.

"Home of the Knights of Malta", known as "the House of the Knights" is the former stately home of the Marquis de Barbentane. Located opposite the Church in the middle of the fortified Center of the village, its construction dates from the beginning of the twelfth century (1133).The House is divided and sold from 1665. The northern part became the home of the Consuls and Hotel City 1670 to 1888, the southern part is occupied by families and the low Gallery is used as a Hall. The Town Hall party was strongly reworked between 1838 and 1843, only the corner tower is preserved, with a monumental sculpture of the first coat of arms of the village. The South façade, on the street Pujade, is dressed again around 1740 and treated in classic hotel. All has been restored in the year 2000.

Under the pontificate of Benedict VIII, the church was consecrated, along with the Sainte Croix chapel, by Monseigneur de Solsanne, Bishop of Teanum, on November 21, 1407. Placed under the patronage of Saint John the Baptist, it took the name of Notre Dame des Grâces. It is originally a Romanesque church full hanger of the 12th century on the first two bays. It was extended a first time in the 14th century, at the time of the cardinal Grimoard, brother of Pope Urban V, by adding two Gothic bays and an apse in 1324. The porch, in the form of mantel, date from the 15th century.The Bell Tower was raised on St. Croix Chapel between 1486 and 1492. It is 21 meters high and a rise of 7 m overcomes. She kicked balls in 1794 (rebuilt in 1983), destroyed during the French Revolution. All its bells, except one, were shipped to Marseille for "weapons against the enemies of the Nation". The Bell Tower and the porch are classified historical monuments since 1921.

Le Bistrot de l'Hoste is above all a family affair. Originally from Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, Pascale joined Domazan three decades ago. Her passion for cooking was passed on to her at an early age by her Italian grandmothers, who taught her the secrets of authentic flavors and traditional dishes, as well as by a whole family of restaurateurs and enthusiasts for excellent gastronomy. The name Bistrot de l'Hoste is in fact a tender tribute to her mother, who ran a guest house. In other words, sharing is an integral part of Pascale's DNA. Today, the café-restaurant has become a veritable meeting place for the villagers. Winegrowers gather here at dawn to share a coffee, while the counter gradually fills up with construction workers, old-timers and travelers passing through. After a rich experience abroad and in prestigious French addresses, he returns to his roots with his partner Anastasia, who warmly welcomes you. Behind the counter, he turns the bistro into a living space where he creates original cocktails: the refreshing "Italicus sour" - with a hint of Italian bergamot -, the exotic "Caïpirinha", the sparkling house creation, his "Cocktail bistrot" - basil, yellow lemon juice, house raspberry coulis, Vodka, Perrier - or the most gourmand, the "Expresso Martini" - Vodka, Kahlua, coffee liqueur, Baileys, coffee-. Behind the piano, he delights the taste buds. Like the ambience, the cuisine is family-style, generous and entirely homemade, featuring fresh seasonal vegetables. Undeniably Italian-influenced, healthy and tasty. The daily specials change daily, while the menu is renewed every month. Among the specialties, we recommend the semi-cooked tuna in virgin sauce, with tomatoes and local olive oil, accompanied by snow peas, peas and carrots. You can also try the tender, flavorful onglet de boeuf, or the genuine Caesar salad prepared according to the rules of the art, with home-made breaded chicken that will delight fans of authentic recipes. Mère Maury's ravioles from Romans, stuffed with summer white truffles or basil, are a pure delight. Gourmets won't be outdone by the desserts: strawberries in elegant pavlova or simply with homemade whipped cream, artisanal Ardèche ice creams... The bistro's specialty: lavender ice cream, garnished with pine nuts and lavender honey, with a light whipped cream (no need to tell you it's homemade, right?). The bistro has not one, but two shaded terraces! The first, in front of the bistro, is typically Provençal, with its pretty fountain shaded by plane trees. Facing the town hall, you can feel the soul of the village as you listen to the gentle murmur of the water... La dolce vita is just around the corner. The second is on the charming patio. Here, you can enjoy a quiet glass of wine, or savour a meal while soaking up the Italian atmosphere radiating from the ochre walls. The completely renovated interior features superb moldings, in-house lighting and a unique creation: a wall of 3,000 corks by Thomas, which sits behind the bar. The family has preserved and rejuvenated the 200-year-old counter, recalling the charm of the bistros of yesteryear. The little extra: concert evenings once a month. If you're also a fan of karaoke and like to sing along, there's a special evening for you once a month. Every first Sunday of the month, a delicious brunch is served from 11am to 4pm.
