You will admire the Château de la Marthonie, a listed monument located in the heart of the village, which majestically dominates the pretty square of Saint Jean. One of the most famous residents of this building was Mondot de la Marthonie, first president of the Court of the Parliament of Bordeaux and then in Paris, adviser to the Queen Mother when Francis I went to Italy. Finally, even if you don't use it because of the very slippery pebbles, you will notice the stone bridge that spans the côle.

Nice 9,5 km loop starting from St Front la Rivière. Stroll in the middle of nature, admire the views over the Dronne Valley and discover the historical heritage of the area, in particular the Château du Saulnier and the Romanesque church of St Front; further on you will pass the ruins of the Château de la Renaudie and the Château du Pommier.

You will admire impressive flows of calcite deposits, delicate stalactites, transparent draperies and countless stalagmites. Prehistoric paintings were discovered. Made more than 19,000 years ago, they represent the authentic testimony of our ancestors’ art. Some of them, such as the rotunda of horses, are covered with a thin layer of calcite which gives them their particular bluish hue. You will admire as well the bison and sorcerer scene, one of the rare human representations in prehistoric art. You will enjoy outside a new discovery footpath about fauna, flora and climates from Prehistory until the Present.

Near Brantôme "La Venise du Périgord", very beautiful family house in a small hamlet, entirely renovated by the owners who knew how to keep the charm of the old while combining the comfort of recent furniture. This gite has four bedrooms for eight people. Private salt water pool secured by a shutter, open from the beginning of May to the end of September. Another "Gîtes de France" rental for four people is also offered by the owners.
