The start is gentle to warm up the cardio system, then after crossing the D951, the countryside opens up to the runner, with some wild south-facing stretches to take in the view. Then, on the way to the villages of Peufevrier and Lavaud, you'll have to get your knees up... The route follows a small stream! (you don't have to get wet). On the way back, you have to cross the D951, so be careful. A visit to the masterly Bridiers tower, followed by a few technical sections, before finishing peacefully at the edge of the Cheix lake! Have a good run!

The route follows farm tracks, so it's fairly easy. The whole Bridiers sector and the boxwood paths add a great atmosphere to the end of the route.

At the gateway to La Souterraine, take a guided tour that brings to life the daily lives of our ancestors, from antiquity to the Middle Ages. From the Voie Noire (Black Way) to the Voie Jolie (Pretty Way), from feudal mottes to seigniorial keeps, this escapade traverses 2,000 years of history, multiple landscapes and numerous archaeological remains. We leave the outskirts of La Souterraine fairly quickly to access the Sédelle valley via the GR654 and the Chemin de Compostelle, which we intersect several times. There's a nice downhill path (watch out for Compostelle pilgrims going the wrong way!) at around km 7; a pleasant, albeit technical, passage through a stream at km 21... And a beautiful hill to climb at km 22.

This tour of the Sostran hinterland begins by meandering along the Sédelle stream, before taking in the impressive local wind turbines. The tour offers fine views of La Souterraine and ends with a walk through the historic center.

This immersive trail of just over 3 kilometers leads from the church gate to the medieval site of the Château de Bridiers, via narrow streets and lanes, skirting the beautiful Etang du Cheix. Milestones mark the route at regular intervals.

A play on words and a nod to the historic Paris-Orléans-Limoges-Toulouse railroad line, which this route follows and spans, the Urbain-POLT route is not difficult overall, and remains very pleasant thanks to the variety of spots crossed: parkland, peri-urban groves, sunken lanes, undergrowth and characterful hamlets... To be done at full speed or at a more leisurely pace, depending on your mood. Have a good run!

Near La Souterraine, the short Chapuisette circuit takes a detour into the surrounding countryside, skirting a wood and passing through a peaceful residential area. It is also an opportunity to discover a discreet but fascinating environment: the wetland and its procession of invertebrates, amphibians and hygrophilous plants. The trail is suitable for all-terrain baby carriages

Here, vacations are at the water's edge, to the delight of tourists. The unobstructed view over the 15-hectare pond (swimming is not permitted) is very pleasant. This south-facing gite is 2 km from the village of Saint Priest la feuille, 4 km from Fursac and 6 km from La Souterraine with all amenities. If you're a fisherman, there are a number of ponds within easy reach: La Grande Cazine, La Chaume, Chamborand, etc.; for swimmers, there's a natural pool at Marsac.

The little "Bois de la Fôt" covers nearly 30 ha of a small hillock which is overlooking the "Domaine de la Fôt" and the ponds of La Cazine. The wood, managed by the ONF (National Forest Office), can be discovered thanks to a multitude of paths and routes. Among the curiosities to unearth: a rock hidden in the middle ; a beautiful point of view on the Domaine de la Fôt's castles, the ponds of La Cazine and the peak of Trois Cornes; an improbable statuette erected on its pedestal.

The Mur des Brosses is located not far from Azérables village, near the Chaume pond. This is a weird blocks heap of various size, a granite hillock of same sort of the Pierres Civières or the famous Pierres Jaumâtres. The Mur des Brosses is pretty small and still confidential. Yet it looks like a geological bump that differs from the surroundings, a real curiosity of nature to be discovered.
