Former municipal swimming pool built by Albert Baert between 1927 and 1932 in an Art Deco style, rehabilitated as a museum in 2001 and enlarged in 2018 by Jean-Paul Philippon, La Piscine exhibits the richness of its collections of paintings, sculptures and applied arts in this place which was considered for more than fifty years as "the most beautiful swimming pool in France". Once the world's textile capital, Roubaix has successfully converted its factories. Its swimming pool, built between 1927 and 1932 by Lille architect Albert Baert, is a veritable Art Deco masterpiece that has been transformed into a museum, a fine example of rehabilitation. Under the shouts of the bathers of yesteryear, this vast 11,000 m2 space welcomes visitors and offers them an exceptional collection of arts applied to industry, including fabrics, decorative arts, sculptures, paintings and drawings. The museum's main room, the swimming pool, is lit by stained glass windows symbolising the rising and setting sun. Human-sized statues in single file adorn the pool, which is still filled with water, and surround the old changing rooms, bathrooms and shower cubicles. Large-scale temporary exhibitions are organised throughout the year. The museum is open Tuesday to Thursday from 11am to 6pm, Friday from 11am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 6pm.Closed on Mondays and certain public holidays (01/01, 01/05, 14/07, 15/08, 01/11 and 25/12).The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm to 5.30pm.

Open since 1997, Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains, located in a building renovated by the Franco-American architect Bernard Tschumi, provides the public with significant contemporary art exhibitions, film programs, concerts, performances, lectures, and more throughout the year. Additionally, Le Fresnoy serves as a prestigious center for artistic, audiovisual, and multimedia training for advanced students. Its main goal is to empower young creators to produce works using professional technical resources, under the guidance of renowned artists, without limiting their means of expression. These works are showcased annually at the Panorama event.

In 1931, the Musée des Beaux-Arts moved into a beautiful 1866 Roussel-Defontaine town house, representative of the architecture in vogue under Napoleon III. In 2009, following an exceptional donation of more than 600 works by Tourcoing-born Eugène Leroy, the museum became the MUba Eugène Leroy. It presents its collections through a constant dialogue between classical, modern and contemporary art. Paintings, drawings and sculptures come together to form a thematic trail that takes us face to face with Louis-Léopold Boilly, Rembrandt and Théodore Rombouts, the contemporaries Felten-Massinger, Antoine Petitprez and Philippe Cazal, and twentieth-century figures such as Martin Barré and Jean Fautrier. The permanent collections occupy half of the exhibition space. They are regularly renewed to reflect the major temporary exhibitions scheduled two or three times a year.

The museum questions the place as an experiment in the work, and brings contemporary art into dialogue with the art of previous centuries, the plastic arts with the living arts. It is also a place of reference dedicated to the artist Eugène Leroy (1910-2000). Price : €8 / €5,50 / €1

Parc Barbieux is recognised as one of the most beautiful urban parks in France. Born out of the abandonment of an underground canal project in the second half of the 19th century, Parc Barbieux is a 34-hectare English-style garden in a remarkable setting of greenery and natural diversity. With 60 different species of trees and a number of lakes and ponds, the park is a wonderful place for wildlife, leisure and relaxation, with a children's playground and a petanque area. Affectionately known as "Le Beau Jardin" by the people of Roubaix, this listed site has been awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label.

Tourcoing's former swimming school is now hosting the IMA (Arab World Institute), a place to discover and learn about the cultures and civilisations of the Arab world, with a permanent exhibition, concerts and lectures, learning new languages, etc.

  The church of Saint-Vaast d’Évregnies was built mainly in the 15th and 16th centuries. The Gothic Brabançon and Scaldian building (alternating between brick and stone) also features two Romanesque walls from the 11th century. Burnt down in 1693 during the wars of the League of Augsburg, the church lost its barrel vault panelling, as well as the gables above the south side aisle. A little restoration has enabled the building to retain its disparate character.   The tower on the façade only juts out a little and rests on two quatrefoil columns rising from the nave. Built from Tournai stone and brick, the tower consists of five levels marked by dripstone cordons. There is a Gothic arched doorway with softened archivolt, a high window beneath an archivolt and finally geminated sound holes with chamfered profile and archivolt. The tower is topped by a furred pyramidal spire and is flanked to the north by a polygonal stair turret. The Romanesque nave has Gothic windows. It has four bays and is flanked by a side aisle and chapel to the south. The side aisle, with a barrel vault ceiling, is below an asymmetrical bâtière roof. The chapel, dedicated to St Vaast, has a furred bâtière roof. The Gothic chancel ends in an apse with five walls and five high windows. It has a vaulted ceiling with stone ridges descending to prismatic culs-de-lampe and is flanked by an annexe and sacristy in brick. Listed (15-09-1936)

In the meadow bordered by indigenous deciduous trees, the children can meet the animals: a donkey, a pony, sheep, geese… The two spacious rooms have been entirely renovated and carefully decorated. You will enjoy the smell of fresh flowers as well as the crisp new sheets on the beds and the bath and shower cream based on donkey milk in your private bathroom. The rooms also feature a private toilet, a TV, Wi-Fi connection and a safe. The copious breakfast is served in the dining room or in the garden.
