Take Rue du Stade, opposite the car park. In front of the stadium, turn right then left on the road to La-Ville-Dieu-du-Temple. After 370m on this road, cross the Payrol stream and continue for 630m. 2. Turn left on Chemin de Flamarenc. After 820m, cross the chemin de Castagné and continue straight on the dirt road. After crossing a wooden staircase, turn right and continue to the Tap church. The return is by the same route as the outward journey. THE TRAIL STEP BY STEP Departure and parking: Ardus beach 1. Exit the car park by the main street of Ardus. Turn left at the second intersection, rue de l'école. 2. At the end of the street, turn left. After 30m, turn right up the Chemin de Lamothe-Vieille. Continue the climb in the undergrowth. After 300m, emerge between orchards and continue on this path for 215m. 3. Turn right and go up Chemin de Courty. It then descends to the Côte de Vialette. Go straight up to the next intersection. At the “Give way” sign, turn right towards Biscardel. After 365m, turn right on Chemin de Jarlande. 4. After 600m of walking on a plateau, the path descends. At the bottom of the path, cross the Côte de Vialette, going straight on the Chemin de Pech-Ségur. Continue along the chemin de Séménol, to the church of Ardus. 5. 30m after the church, turn left on the Pech Blanc road. At the "Stop" sign, turn right in the direction of Montauban. After 20m, turn left into Rue du Port. Continue to Aveyron and follow the river along the chemin du moulin. At the small car park, go down the stairs on the left which brings you back to the beach and the car park. Starting from the church of Albefeuille this route forms a loop, rich in elements that have marked the history of the town since the 17th century: the church of Albefeuille (1653), the tobacco barn, the weighbridge in the hamlet of La Paillole and the laundry. THE TRAIL STEP BY STEP Departure and parking: Tap d'Albefeuille church 1. Leave the church square by taking the road on the left and follow it for 700m. At the intersection of Chemin de Labarthe, continue straight on Chemin du lavoir for 450m. Turn left into chemin de Bois Vieux. Continue on this track for 1km. 2. Turn left and go down the Tuc coast. Turn left then right at the next fork. Turn left. After 165m, turn right on Chemin de Malroux. just before the bridge over the stream until crossing it by a footbridge. Turn right along the hedge. After a hundred meters, turn left and go straight to the road. 3. Turn left and go to the hamlet of La Paillole. At the hamlet turn right and continue for 600m to chemin de Labarthe, then turn left on chemin de Castagné. Follow the latter until the junction with the Chemin de Flamanrenc. 4. Turn left and take the dirt road for 900m. Climb the stairs and turn right onto the road. Return to the Tap church car park. THE TRAIL STEP BY STEP Departure and parking: Cos church 1. Climb the Pech de Cos path. In the undergrowth and on the hillside. After 850m, cross the wood of Cos. At the road, turn left and descend for 500m. 2. Turn to the right by the small non-passable path, then descend straight down the slope. Continue the descent through fields, on the Chemin de la Vieille Côte. It continues along Chemin de la Tapissié. 3. Turn right to go up the Côte de Mirabel for 50m. At the next intersection, turn left through a hairpin bend. 4. After 400m, follow the path that goes up, the coast of Vialette. Turn left into Chemin de Sémenol. The arrival of the walk is at the church of Ardus. The return is by the same route THE SIN OF COS Pech is an Occitan word which would come from the Latin podium which means “height” or “hill”. At the next intersection, turn right and go up the path that leads back to the church of Saint Saturnin de Cos. AN ANCIENT SITE Cosa has been known since the 1st century BC. Its ford on the Aveyron made it a center of commerce on the Divona axis (Cahors) - Tolosa (Toulouse). At the next intersection, leave the road by turning left and follow this path for 700m. After crossing an orchard, turn right then take the Chemin des Aiguillons in the opposite direction. 5. At the poplar grove, turn left, then after 420m, turn right, between orchards and fields. Cross a small footbridge over Le Rossignol stream and continue straight to the road. Turn right and return to the church car park. Small Italian theater with 550 seats, nestled in the heart of the city ... A first room preceded the current building, the city having built in 1792 a space until then dedicated to the game of palm to turn it into a theater. In the face of popular success, it soon proved too small. The architect Fragneau was then commissioned to rebuild it: he endowed the new building with a neoclassical facade all brick, crowned with a large triangular pediment. The capacity of the new hall, opened in 1849, was 528 spectators spread over four levels. Access was then through the rue de la Comedie, inconvenient because narrow. This situation will last until 1931. Thanks to the subsidies paid by the City of Paris to rebuild Montauban after the terrible floods of March 1930, a new facade was built, opening on the place Lefranc de Pompignan built in the late nineteenth century . L'église paroissiale a été détruite et reconstruite à plusieurs reprises jusqu'en 1900, pour devenir une église ogivale dotée de remarquables vitraux. Il reste peu d'éléments du mobilier de l'ancienne église : un pri-Dieu avec un panneau historié du XVIIème siècle, une statue de la Vierge à l'enfant du XVIIIème siècle, un plateau de quête en dinanderie du XVIème siècle. Elle est actuellement fermée au public en raison de présence de fissures sur la voûte.

Aux cimetières de Lafrançaise, Lunel et Saint-Maurice, une trentaine de stèles prennent la forme de pyramides, une "mode locale" qui intrigue. Une référence à l'île de "Malthe" laisse penser à une possible participation d'un membre de la famille des Parazols à l'expédition d’Égypte de Bonaparte en 1798.

Berceau des Châtelains de Lafrançaise "les Montratier-Parazol". Le château est aujourd'hui en ruine.

Mentionnée au XIVème siècle, elle a été complètement détruite pendant les guerres de religion puis pauvrement reconstruite. Le plan présente la forme d'un rectangle allongé, terminé par un abside à trois pans. Son clocher avec sa tour octogonale est inscrit à l'inventaire des Monuments Historiques.

Créé en 1154, il devient prieuré collégial en 1317 et est aujourd'hui le dernier prieuré grandmontain construit en "briques anglaises". De l'église, seule la nef subsiste car l'abside a été détruite en 1918. Une partie est classée par les Monuments Historiques.

La première mention écrite de la chapelle remonte au XIème siècle. L'édifice actuel date de 1877 et a été répertorié aux Monuments Historiques en 1992. De style roman, avec une inspiration du néo-grec et du byzantin, la chapelle est constituée d'une nef carrée, surmontée d'une coupole qui se dresse sur un tambour. Elle est ouverte à la visite en juillet et août le dimanche de 15h à 18h30, et toute l'année sur rendez-vous au 05 63 65 46 71.
