Discover the many fountains of Moncaup. This walk, steeped in history, takes you through the woods of Moncaup with its typical species, crossing meadows and vineyards. Its undulating and shaded relief offers very contrasting views and atmospheres.

No doubt we are in the heart of the Madiran vineyards! With this loop around the castle of Crouseilles, we would take a few moments to take the castleman around the property! Vines as far as the eye can see, a superb castle and a grain of sport are the ingredients of this walk.

Situated on the borders of Bearn, facing Armagnac and Bigorre, Lembeye occupies a strategic position on a branch of the road to Compostela. To resist the inevitable incursions of its neighbours, the village was built as a bastide towards the end of the 13th century. After becoming Protestant in the 16th century, Lembeye was devastated during the Wars of Religion and burnt down by Catholic troops at the beginning of the 17th century, which led to the reconstruction of most of the houses in the village. A circuit of about 2 km will lead you to discover the bastide. You will discover the Place Marcadieu with its 18th century houses, the Clock Tower, the Hautes Promenades path with its view of the Pyrenees mountain range, the gothic style church and its flamboyant style portal..

It is a journey back in time that this walk from Lembeye evokes. From 1904 to 1931, the Vic-Bilh was crossed by the steam railway line, also known as the "tram line", which linked Pau to Lembeye. Along this path, you will discover several structures (bridges, waterfalls, stone embankments...) that bear witness to this passage.
