Captivating exploration in Osses, Pyrénées Atlantiques

This itinerary allows the hiker to discover the southern side of the Baigura. From the Aldudes valley to the Laka valley, from La Rhune to the first high peaks of Bearn, such as the Pic d'Anie, among others, this round trip reveals some very beautiful landscapes. This beautiful hike leads to the picturesque abandoned village of Aritzakun. Wedged between the impressive cliffs of Ixusi and the summit of Irubelakasko, this village had about 35 occupied houses in the 1950s. It is especially since the 80s that it was deserted. Today, the village remains very well maintained. Some houses still welcome inhabitants during the summer season to spend a few days of vacation. The hiker will find peace and relaxation in a picturesque setting.
