The Chèreperrine castle is a vestige of an impressive mansion from the 18th century, built by the Marquise des Alleurs, mistress of the Grand Dauphin. Since 2010, the gardens have been laid down around buildings that are currently being restored and are typical of the Perche region, including a 15th and 16th century manor house, a farm house, seigniorial barn, stables and pigsties, bakery, hemp oven and covered well. Net lace embroidery, known as artistic net, built the reputation of the small character town of La Perrière between 1850 and 1950. Pearl lace was very popular during the inter-war years.
