Out of Béarn until the French Revolution, this building was remodeled in the 19th and 20th centuries.

In the Caillan woods, at the limits of Larrivière, the Peyre de Pythié is a kind of Neolithic dolmen, made of huge blocks, partly overturned. In the middle there is a deep hole which, according to popular belief, fills with water at certain phases of the moon. The dolmens: from the Breton stone tables, were generally funerary chambers dedicated to eternity, at a time when the shelters of the living were made of wood, fragile and ephemeral. But what remains of them today seems to be only their "skeleton" because they were covered with a tumulus: an envelope of dry stones or earth.
