5 km from the medieval town of Sainte-Suzanne and 2 km from the Forest of la Charnie, this former 1064 farmhouse, entirely renovated and converted into a character gîte is surround by meadows and forests.

La Bellaziere can accommodate up to 8 guests, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (4 WC). The pool is in a separate building and heated between the beginning of April and the end of October. We are open year-round. The house is very comfortable and family-friendly. It has two outside terraces to lounge on and an awning to dine under. Located at the end of a path, it has no neighbors (and no cars zooming by!) and is very safe for children. Your holidays will be peaceful and relaxed in a beautiful, preserved rural environment.

Our farm is in the Perche region, the birthplace of the Percheron breed. We organise visits to our Percheron stud farm, with some ten brood mares, a few fillies and two stallions. An introduction to the different breeding procedures: servicing, foaling, food... as well as the various markets for horses.

The Estate has an interest of art and history because of its typical evolution of a large land area in the Perche from the 17th to the 19th century. Few castles in the Perche can be proud of the signing of many architects and landscape renowned as Lonné.

In an authentic Percheron setting, and after a warm welcome near the mill, set off with Michel to meet a dozen or so horses of all ages, while you listen to the stories of a genuine Perche "breeder". Michel is always happy to share his expert knowledge and you can't help but feel his passion…

Since 2010, the gardens have been laid down around buildings that are currently being restored and are typical of the Perche region, including a 15th and 16th century manor house, a farm house, seigniorial barn, stables and pigsties, bakery, hemp oven and covered well. The garden has been adapted to the buildings and their uses, with a vegetable garden and orchard, preserving traditional Perche cider and eating apples near the communal areas, a medieval medicinal plant garden near the manor house, an osmanthus and grass broderie, a collection of ornamental cherry trees, oak, lime trees and hawthorn. Over 300 vintage and botanical roses, a collection of peonies and magnolias. The garden is continually changing, and year after year its form and structure emerges. There are non-guided visits, but a guide is available on request.

Manor from the 14th and 16th century (the oldest of the Perche region). Stronghold from the Hundred Years' War, embellished under Louis XII and Henri IV, but aslo partly destroyed. Dungeon, 2 towers, portcullis unique in France. A Galery from the Renaissance periode, 2 stairs from Henri IV and an amazing fireplace. Tour of the inside and of the outside.

Built on former sarcophagus in the beginning of the 12th century. Built in sandstone and granite, on a rocky promontory. Frescos from the 12th and 14th centuries, restored in 2006. Nearby, in a vast grassland, The Saint-Cénéri little chapel (15th century) on the site of the Saint ermite’s oratory. Stained glasse created in 2007 by Cathy Van Hollebeke. The church is open every day through the year. The chapel is open from Juin to September (call before coming).

This old inn was the resort and gathering of renowned painters throughout the nineteenth century and early twentieth centuries, it became a site dedicated to Art. With its original and fun location, this place of rendezvous of the Impressionist painters of the years 1875-1925 reveals the history, heritage and timeliness of Fine Arts in this unique village, one of the "hundreds of the finest France'

A short distance from the village of Saint-Céneri-le-Géreil, you will find one of the most beautiful villages in France. At Les Jardins de la Mansonière, you can visit a lovely garden with a succession of nine walled gardens: a rose garden with ancient varieties, a moon garden, a tranquil Asian garden, a scented garden, patio garden, neo-gothic vegetable garden, etc. Evening events by candlelight, exhibitions, concerts.

On an area of more than 35 000m², a plantation of 291 trees were made in 1997. The first part puts together 8 different types of trees (leaves and pins) and after a few turns, you can discover the second part fully dedicated to the oaks. Explanation boards allow you to discover on your own the different trees. Access of the garden by the Koutiala boulevard.

The regular overflowing of the river Sarthe miraculously spared this area from the development undergone by its surroundings; the Fuie des Vignes is a wild natural area located between two districts in Alençon. Monitored by naturalists for over a century, thanks to the Alençon local authorities, the site is now appropriately managed to preserve its remarkable biodiversity. Trail open all year round. Guided tours through Alençon Tourist Office.
