Pdipr de Lisle loop

This equestrian ride departs from the Centre Equestre POINT VERT in Tocane St-Apre. It allows you to explore the surrounding area, moving towards the heights of Le Treuil and Tantalou. After descending through "les planches", you'll go back up to "la Lande" and discover the Gâtine woods, then return along the Dronne to the Equestrian Center.

From the bus stop you will go to the "Pré Sec", a place of walk frequented by the inhabitants of Tocane-Saint-Apre. There is a bathing area on the banks of the Dronne, a river that has been the site of many mills. Among these, the mill of the Bridge is accessible by footbridges on the water and opened to the public in season. From the mill, a signposted route leads to the Dronne hillsides and Montagrier, a small village of character which offers a beautiful view of the valley from a "terrace" at the foot of the church.

Nice walk through the woods in the heart of the Dronne valley, discover in passing the church Notre Dame de la Nativité, the castle of Fayolle and the ruins of vernode.

This hike starting from Tocane Saint Apre will allow you to go up the hillsides to discover villages of character, before going down to the valley, to walk along the Dronne and its mills and before, why not, plunge into its cool waters after all these efforts!

Route 12 from Montagrier is accessible to all. You will pass through Montagrier and Grand Brassac, villages situated at the top of the hills overlooking the Dronne valley, where you can stop to discover the Romanesque churches. Then the signposted path will seduce you by the variety of the passages, and by the viewpoints on the valley!

ARRÊT sur VILLAGE is a selection of walks focusing on the cultural, historical, heritage and natural heritage of villages. Welcome to Montagrier, a charming village overlooking the Dronne Valley! Here, everything invites you to take a stroll... this picturesque 2.8-kilometre walk combines history, architecture and nature to reveal the mysteries left by human occupation of this ancient Gaulish oppidum, such as the emblematic Wiridel Gate.

In a pleasant and green setting, walk along the paths of Montagrier and admire in passing the church and the chapel of St Sicaire.

Standing proudly above the Dronne, this jewel of the Green Périgord combines a 13th century medieval fortress, dominated by an imposing keep, and a Renaissance castle housing one of the richest collections of furniture in New Aquitaine. As a farmer specialising in walnut growing, I transform part of my harvest into walnut oil, walnut jam, walnut chocolates... Free visit and tasting.

Our farm specializes in growing, harvesting and direct sales of spirulina. Our production is based on reasoned and controlled cultivation, to offer you a healthy and perfectly balanced product. We also sell spirulina flakes directly from the farm.

The Maison de la Dronne is based at the Moulin du Pont. This former flour mill dating from the 12th century was converted into a hydroelectric plant in 1907. The building, with its typical Dronne boat-mill architecture, features a working turbine and paddle wheel. Today, the Maison de la Dronne is a tourist site offering family events, exhibitions and electric boat trips. Open from May to September. Wednesday to Sunday in May, June and September and Monday to Friday in July and August.

The St. Peter and St. Paul church of Bussac, built during the 12th century, was fortified during the Hundred Years War to serve as a refuge for the inhabitants of the village. The building is listed as a historical monument.

Following the merger of the two communes (Tocane and Saint-Apre) in 1852, the church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité was built between 1857 and 1861 by the architects Bouillons. The steeple showed numerous cracks, and was consolidated in 1924. The nave roof (which was cross-vaulted at the time) was replaced by a lighter coffered ceiling.

Former priory that depended on Brantôme with a plan with a trilobal chevet, a transept crossing topped by a dome and a neo-gothic bell tower. (M.H).

Antoine offers you eggs from hens raised in the open air in movable huts, and fed with a cereal crushed that he grows or buys from his neighboring farmers. The hens are raised on a 6 hectare run, 3 of which are in walnut trees, ideal for the hens to enjoy a nice shade in summer but also for the walnut trees to benefit from an excellent natural fertilization. He also offers walnuts. He also transforms on the farm the hens in rillettes with duck fat or pig fat, in confits of hens with duck fat and confit gizzards.

Fortress Church of St Peter and St Paul with a nave vaulted with 3 cupolas on pendentives. Built in the 12th century, fortified in the 13th century, it has two bell towers. North facade with a sculpted portal (adoration of the Magi, five statues from the 16th century).

From April to November, we welcome you to treat your taste buds with traditional, local and homemade cuisine in our hotel-restaurant. All our meals are prepared with fresh local products. We are open every evening from Thursday to Monday, we are also open on Saturday and Sunday for lunch. You will enjoy your meal under the veranda, offering a superb view over the river Dronne, or on the terrace, when the weather is fine.

At the center of a triangle between Ribérac, Brantôme and Périgueux, Lisle is close to the region?s major tourist attractions. Nearby towns include Tocane St Apre and Bourdeilles. The campsite is a small, friendly site close to the village. It offers a fully equipped beach with supervised swimming in high season, as well as a full range of restaurants, bars and stores. It's a tempting place to stay, although day trips to other villages and markets are possible via winding nature roads. This reflects the authentic French art of living. The campsite is open from April 1 to October 31. However, depending on the weather during the low season (April and October), please call the campsite to confirm availability.
