From the Col de Prayé, this walk takes you to the Vosges side of the massif to discover the Haut du Bon Dieu, but also the cup stones and dolmens that populate these enchanted mountains.

A wonderful trail filled with stories and legends. From the Col de Prayé, the route follows a section of the Déodatie region GR trail and will take you to the Haut du Bon Dieu plateau. Just below this site is the legendary Maix lake, with waters that are clear for some and dark for others, and are hiding a whole host of secrets.

If you love nature and outdoor adventures, don't miss this 16km hike through a beautiful forest. Starting at the Col de Prayé, the walk takes in the Haute Loge, one of the peaks of the Vosges massif, and the Haut du Bon Dieu. You'll also discover cup stones, considered sacred by many cultures and used for religious ceremonies and rituals for thousands of years.

Museum Gaspar is housed in the residence of the middle-class family Gaspar from Arlon who had set up in this house (1893) that was built in 1842. It was renovated in 2004. The two most famous members of this family are animal sculptor Jean-Marie Gaspar (1861-1931) and Charles Gaspar (1971-1950) who was a photographer and a sponsor. He gave his house to the town of Arlon on the condition they make a museum of it, dedicated to his brother's work and that put into honour the history and the heritage of Arlon. At the first floor, theree are two restored salons identical to a middle-class salon from the early 20th century that show Jean-Marie Gaspar's sculptures. and the art and picture collection of Charles Gaspar. The rest of the first floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of the museum that alternates artv and history. A religion room shows collections about the abbey of Orval and to the people's devotion at the 18th century, and also relics from the ancient Saint-Martin church. But the Masterpiece is the famous altarpiece Retable de Fisenne - a 16th century masterpiece from the Antwerp school. It was bought in 1893 by a middle-class family from Arlon, the family Gaspar. Jean Gaspar (1861-1931) was a sculptor. He was trained by the Antwerp sculptor Jef Lambeaux. His works are in bronze and in plaster and they are exhibited in the salons that have been restorated as they were in his house. His brother Charles (1871-1950) was a photographer, a collector and a sponsor. He gave this house to the town of Arlon. It hosts the library of the Archaeological Institute of the Belgian Province of Luxembourg and its secretary office since 1954. A wide part of the museum is also dedicated to temporary exhibitions about art and history of Arlon.

Rich in the Gallo-Roman past of Arlon, the museum houses an impressive collection that bears witness to the daily life of this period.One of the peculiarities of the museum is its imposing and rich lapidary collection, composed of several dozen fragments of ancient funerary monuments.These blocks and the objects from Roman craftsmanship will teach you more about daily life at that time.

This sawmill has been in the Monument Historique classification since 1978. It was built in the 19th century and was commercially exploited until 1976. This local pearl is a strong, patrimonial and sentimental element for the inhabitants of the valley. The site attracts more than 10,000 visitors. It has been entirely rebuilt exactly as it was further to the awful fire which destroyed it in 2001. A 4-metre-diameter waterwheel sets the sawmill in motion. Discover the mechanism and operating of the sawmill, the sawyer’s life and the history of work with wood in the valley. Demonstration of sawing and exhibitions on site.

This natural lake is located at an altitude of 678 metres. Discover a vault, a chapel from the 19th century and a sarcophagus. It is 15 metres deep and about 800 metres in circumference. Accessible for car and bus. No swimming.

The Vosges have kept traces of WWI. The inquisitive and the history-lovers will find a significant collection of items and documents, permanent and temporary exhibitions, cultural activities, conferences and a collection of weapons, uniforms, equipment and documents of World War I. This collection is located in a house that used to belong to Charles Cartier Bresson who was the mayor of Celles sur Plaine during conflicts.

The choir, still visible now, of this Church is the last Benedictine Abbey relic of Bonmoutier, built in the 7th century and moved to Saint Saviour in year 1010. The Church of Saint-Sauveur has a beautiful low relief (listed as Historical Monument). Church open ONLY ON REQUEST.

The impressive medieval castle is on a summit that is fraught with cliffs made in pink sandstone and dominates the village of Pierre Percée and the downstream part of the lake. Its name Petra Perceia (Pierre Percée) comes from the very deep water well of 9 metres in circumference. The fortress dates back to the 12th century. The tower which was robust and haughty in the past takes us back to old centuries. It has been protected only by the ivy from the ravages of time! Enjoy a splendid overview on the lac and the town of Pierre Percée!

This treasure with silver water is located near Lake Pierre Percée in the Plaine Valley. This 500,000-cubic-metre water supply is used as a watershed. It’s also an amazing outdoor activities centre nestled in a gorgeous green setting. It offers many possibilities such as swimming, walk, playing areas for children and thrills for adults!

This beautiful waterfall hurtles down in a narrowed notch and represents a 15-metre fall with small and successive rebounds. Follow red-cross signs from Raon l’Etape.

The Memorial of 358th R.I. has been erected in year 1924, in order to remember the soldiers of the 358th Regiment dead in this area between February 1915 and June 1916. This Memorial is located at the place where was the "Village-nègre", it means the french military camp that was near the front during the 1st World War.

The holiday centre has been awarded the label "Accessible to People with Mental Disabilities". It is open to everyone all year round.

Ideally located between Pierre-Percée Lake, Donon Mountain and Vezouze River, the Campsite for camper vans of Val-et-Chatillon welcomes you with his green natural environment. Just near the camper-van area, you will find the Textile Museum (at 100 meter), the Hydraulic Sawmill of Machet (5 km) and the Abbey of Saint-Sauveur (6 km away), where you will discover the local history. This area has 6 marked pitches (including one for double), with an utility hookup as sewer, one for electricity and a black water disposal.
