Scierie de la Hallière

This sawmill has been in the Monument Historique classification since 1978. It was built in the 19th century and was commercially exploited until 1976. This local pearl is a strong, patrimonial and sentimental element for the inhabitants of the valley. The site attracts more than 10,000 visitors. It has been entirely rebuilt exactly as it was further to the awful fire which destroyed it in 2001. A 4-metre-diameter waterwheel sets the sawmill in motion.
