Castle of pierre percee
Description
The impressive medieval castle is on a summit that is fraught with cliffs made in pink sandstone and dominates the village of Pierre Percée and the downstream part of the lake. Its name Petra Perceia (Pierre Percée) comes from the very deep water well of 9 metres in circumference. The fortress dates back to the 12th century.
The tower which was robust and haughty in the past takes us back to old centuries. It has been protected only by the ivy from the ravages of time! Enjoy a splendid overview on the lac and the town of Pierre Percée!
