The keep is the only part of the castle still standing today. The Porte Bourbon, emblematic of the town of La Roche-Posay, is the only 12th-century main entrance still standing today. The other two gates disappeared in the 17th and 18th centuries: the Porte Saint-Louis (to the north) and the Porte de Guyenne (to the south). For many years, the Porte Bourbon was the main urban thoroughfare between southern Touraine and La Roche-Posay. Les Loges du Parc is the former Hôtel du Parc. Its Belle Epoque façade conceals more than a century of La Roche-Posay?s spa history. Founded in 1905 and inaugurated on August 6, 1905, the "Paquebot", as it was nicknamed at the time, was first fitted out in the purest "Grand Hôtel" style, built by two architects in vogue at the time. During the Second World War, it was transformed into a military hospital. In July 2000, after 10 years of closure (1988/1998) and two years of renovation work, "Les Loges du Parc" opened its doors. A residence emblematic of the towns of Eaux, which it embodies with charm.

Square Abbé Brand, at the foot of the church, was inaugurated in 1994 as a tribute to this young chaplain who, with his strength of conviction, saved the lives of 60 hostages when a retreating German company passed through on August 27, 1944, a hot summer Sunday, in the late afternoon.
