Donjon de La Roche-Posay
Description
The keep is the only part of the castle still standing today. Built on the highest point of the medieval town, this location, combined with its 25-meter height and roof terrace, gave the soldiers at the top an unrestricted view of southern Touraine. The primitive staircase, dug into the thickness of the walls, leads to the "Salle des Echos", with its cloister-arched vaults!
