It is the contours of the Rhône valley and the plateau of Le Vuache which mark out the natural passage towards Geneva and the International Museum of the Reformation. All along the path, different natural, cultural and heritage sites can be discovered. The route uses the signposted paths of the Vuache region: the "Tour du Vuache de Chaumont à Cortagny" (Savigny), the loop of the "Sentier des Morennes" to Bloux (Dingy-en-Vuache) and the path located to the west of Valleiry passing through La Vosognette, La Colombière and Les Bois de Vosogne, to the border. The path starts in Le Poet Laval at the Museum of Dauphinois Protestantism in the Drôme. The French part of the path "In the footsteps of the Huguenots" to the Swiss border marker comprises 360 km of paths and is split into 29 stages.

This walk that crosses over Frangy and other villages will make you discover the rural spaces of the territory. With the different viewpoints (Crêt de Tilly, the centre of Frangy...), this walk will be the occasion for you to admire the natural and historical heritage. Starting from the village of Frangy, this walk of medium level will make you discover the rural areas of the surroundings of Frangy. With its 360° view, the Crêt de Tilly, which rises to 858 m, is the highlight of this hike. You can observe mountain ranges such as the mountains of the Jura, the Grand Colombier, the Vuache, or the Mont Blanc, which surround the front Pays Haut-Savoyard. With little difference in altitude, you can make this hike in half a day.

This average mountain bike descent will allow you to cross over the mountainous and agricultural plateaus of the Usses and Rhône territory. At the departure, at the Clermont castle, do not hesitate to visit this historical monument. This mountain bike descent of average difficulty that links mountain relief and Rhône will make you discover the high Savoyard side of the Usses and Rhône territory. The departure is at the Clermont castle's parking lot (16th century - classified as historical monument) and ends at the Aqualoisirs nautical base.

This walk is done in a double loop and will make you discover the different agricultural plateaus of Droisy and Clermont. You can also enjoy, when you come, to visit the Clermont Castle (historical monument, symbol of the Italian Renaissance). This familial walk with very little elevation change will make you discover the agricultural plateaus of Droisy and Clermont. This hike can me modulated in a small loop (at the departure of Clermont), an average one (at the departure of Droisy) or in a buckle in its entirety (at the departure of Clermont) described in its enterity in the guidebook. Besides the discovery of this agricultural plateaus and different viewpoints offered on the Jura mountain, the Vuache and of course the Mont-Blanc, this hike is the occasion for you to visit the Clermont Castle (16th century, only witness of the Italian Renaissance in Haute-Savoie (classified as Historical Monument)).

Departure from the charming village of Chaumont, an ancient medieval châtellenie at the foot of the Vuache mountains. Right from the start, the picturesque charm of this village will transport you back in time. The trail then takes you through lush, rolling countryside overlooking the river Usses, against a backdrop of superb pre-Alpine scenery. The arrival in Seyssel is a highlight of this hike. This unique village, split between Ain and Haute-Savoie, offers an exceptional panorama of the Rhône. Its suspension bridge, topped by a statue of the Virgin Mary protecting the boatmen, is an emblematic point of interest. It's also the last stage in Haute-Savoie of the GR65, an adventure that combines history, nature and discovery. This hike is ideal for heritage and nature lovers, offering a revitalizing experience in a stunningly beautiful natural setting.

This hiking trail, taking a tour of Lake Geneva through the ridges, allows you, from Chaumont, to reach the highest point of the Vuache (1106 m).

At the south-eastern tip of Mont Vuache, there is a largely shaded path leading into the heart of the village of Chaumont, up to restored pastures and through the hamlets of the piedmont plain. The path starts from the car park at the church and follows the long-distance "Balcon du Léman" path to see the Vuache and its outstanding plant life. There are breathtaking views on the Alps, the Annecy Basin, the Rhône Valley and the Jura. When you return to Chaumont, visit the emblematic ruins of the mediaeval castle built in 1124 by the Counts of Geneva, the Sainte Agathe de Chaumont church with its Gothic choir and doorway topped by a tympanum containing a trefoil Cross, the Barbannaz waterfall and the Pisieu Bridge. This easy walk will allow you to discover the southern area of Chaumont where natural outstanding elements (the Chaumont Castle, lapiaz, Bataillard Rock...) are present. This loop goes to the Vuache foot, will make you discover the natural (Bataillard rock, lapiaz, cliff) and historical heritage around Chaumont. You can do a round trip until the ruins of the Chaumont Castle and enjoy the breathtaking view.

This steep itinerary will bring you to breathtaking viewpoints on the mountainous massives around Chaumont. If you are motivated, do not hesitate to climb higher to the peak of the Vuache (1101m). This audacious itinerary will make you discover the geological wealth (seismic fault), wildlife (chamois) and floristic of the Vuache massive. The most courageous ones will be able to reach the Vuache peak at 1101m and enjoy breathtaking viewpoints on the Grand Colombier, the Bauges massive and the Mont-Blanc chain (1h15 more).

Discover the Vuache mountain and its summit on this accessible hike between Geneva and Annecy. Smaller than its neighbor the Salève, this mountain offers equally magnificent panoramas! This hike, which is not technically difficult but has a good gradient, takes you to the summit of the Vuache mountain at an altitude of 1110 meters, from the authentic village of Chaumont. The 11-kilometer-long Vuache mountain is located in a natural area protected for its flora and fauna. Here you'll find rare flower species such as Erythrone Dent de Chien, which is also the symbol of the Syndicat Intercommunal. From the summit, you can contemplate the Jura massif, the Alps and the Geneva basin. While you're in Chaumont, take the opportunity to visit the ruins of the 12th-century castle, once the châtellenie of the Counts of Geneva.

This local museum exhibits objects, most of which come from the collection of Marius Fillion, its founder. The reconstructed homes (tools, farm machinery, pottery, basketry, linen) bring to life the rural world of yesteryear. Collection of glazed earthenware, wooden press, tools and machines used by craftsmen and farmers. Upstairs, there’s a bedroom with Savoyard cradles, furniture, embroidered linen, old toys, etc. This museum is run by the ‘Mémoire de la Semine’ association.

This orientation table at the foot of the Mésigny church allows you to find your way around a wide panorama, dominated by the surrounding mountains. Panorama breakdown: Group 1: Vuache, Jura, evoking heritage (oppidum, castles), mountain activities, Lake Geneva, the Rhône and Switzerland. Group 2: Foothills and Salève, with villages, bell towers, fortified houses, the Brichet mill and the Salève iron mines. Group 3: La Mandallaz and background massifs (Sous Dîne, Glières, Parmelan, Tournette). Presentation of mountain activities such as animal husbandry, cheese-making, skiing and paragliding. ショウガツザクラ (十月桜) Large, light-pink flowers appear before foliage in spring. 'Autumnalis' means that this tree blooms again in autumn, on the last warm days. アマノガワ (天の川) 'Amanogawa' means the river of paradise, or the Milky Way. Its abundant light-pink blossoms are delicately scented. This easy-to-place cherry has become very popular in Europe. Its foliage takes on beautiful orange-yellow colors in autumn. Tree: upright, 5 m high Flower: light pink, semi-double Flowering time: end of April

From the pedestrian bridge dating back to 1721, over which the Santiago de Compostela (GR 65) passes, admire the ‘marmites de géants’ (cavities dug into the limestone). From the road bridge, admire the top of the Barbannaz waterfall (not accessible).

Sillingy's highest point offers a lovely panorama, and the orientation table, created by the children of La Combe school, poetically situates the main peaks and mountains: the Jura, the Aravis and Mont Blanc.
