Description

Between picturesque villages and verdant hills, this hike links Chaumont to Seyssel. The last stage in Haute-Savoie on the GR65, this bucolic adventure will delight heritage and nature enthusiasts.

Departure from the charming village of Chaumont, an ancient medieval châtellenie at the foot of the Vuache mountains. Right from the start, the picturesque charm of this village will transport you back in time.

The trail then takes you through lush, rolling countryside overlooking the river Usses, against a backdrop of superb pre-Alpine scenery.

The arrival in Seyssel is a highlight of this hike. This unique village, split between Ain and Haute-Savoie, offers an exceptional panorama of the Rhône. Its suspension bridge, topped by a statue of the Virgin Mary protecting the boatmen, is an emblematic point of interest.

It's also the last stage in Haute-Savoie of the GR65, an adventure that combines history, nature and discovery. This hike is ideal for heritage and nature lovers, offering a revitalizing experience in a stunningly beautiful natural setting.
