The Richard Coeur de Lion West cycling loop takes in the rolling roads of western Limousin, in Haute-Vienne, in 4 stages and 10 sections. You'll cycle along the Voie Verte des Hauts de Tardoire and the V56 and V93 cycle routes. You'll visit the villages of Châlus, Rochechouart and Nexon, with their castles on the Richard the Lionheart discovery route. You'll pass through Limoges, the city with the largest concentration of services and facilities, and then the small villages where life is good, such as Oradour-sur-Vayres, Saint-Martin-de- Jussac, Saint-Priest-sous-Aixe, Aixe-sur-Vienne and Saint-Hilaire-les-Places. You can cycle this loop at your own pace, in sections, stages or all at once, depending on your mood and your cycling skills.

Discover a circuit between the rivers Glane and Vienne, nature and memory. This route, punctuated by hills and descents, won't leave you with the monotony of a traditional bike ride. Thanks to electric assistance, you can overcome obstacles and stroll through a natural setting typical of the Limousin, land of trees and water. This is a long tour, to be completed over the course of a day if you also wish to visit the Centre de la Mémoire and the martyred village.

Discover Rochechouart by road. Relax in the heart of nature and stroll through a landscape shaped by meteorites, in the Rochechouart-Chassenon astrobleme nature reserve. Rochechouart is also home to a number of historical and cultural monuments, including the Château Musée d'Art Contemporain, as well as a number of restaurants. Along the way, you'll be able to take in many views of the Limousin countryside.

Walk along the Vienne River and discover three of the four ancient bridges that enabled and still enable the inhabitants of our region to cross the natural obstacle that is the Vienne. Dating from the 12th to the 19th century, these bridges are more than just functional; they are relics of the past and an integral part of our local heritage.

A 100% Saint-Juniaude loop to discover some of the glove-making town?s most emblematic sites. Along the way, you'll find the Saint-Amand terraces, where you can stroll along the remains of the 11th-century church, and the 13th-century Saint-Elisabeth bridge. The most remarkable element of its historic heritage is its recently restored 12th and 15th century church. Adjacent to it, the former presbytery (18th century), restored with the help of the Vienne-Glane community of communes, is home to a large-capacity gîte (16 people) with the "Gîte de France" label. The village is criss-crossed by a number of short hiking trails through a wide variety of landscapes.

The Cité du cuir de Saint-Junien showcases the leather and glove-making trades, which are an integral part of the local intangible heritage. From the old-fashioned butchery to the 1920-1930-inspired boutique, visitors will discover step by step, gesture by gesture, the leather glove manufacturing cycle through an immersive museum tour.

This chapel, once dedicated to Saint Guignefort, was rebuilt in the 13th century and dedicated to Saint Madeleine. It was the headquarters of the Pénitents bleus brotherhood from the 17th to the 19th centuries.

The covered market was built between 1899 and 1902 to replace the old covered market, which was part of a complex adjoining the collegiate church and demolished in accordance with the regulations of the time. The new building housed the covered market, the grain market and the village hall. Built using materials such as iron and glass, it is a fine example of the architecture of the period. It's open from Friday to Sunday to welcome a host of producers!

One of the largest and oldest Romanesque churches in the Limousin, it was the center of a vast complex (cloister, bishop?s house) which has now disappeared. Built in granite in 4 successive phases, from the 11th to the 13th century, the church's layout has always been respected, making it a homogeneous structure that bears the mark of the various construction periods, from the Romanesque to the emerging Gothic. Not to be missed: the monumental tomb housing the sarcophagus of Saint Junien. This magnificent 12th-century tomb, richly sculpted in La Rochefoucauld limestone, is shaped like a giant reliquary, with 3 of its sides covered in sculptures reminiscent of the fresco in the nave. This city of character is internationally renowned for the expertise of its glove makers. Saint-Junien also boasts many other architectural treasures: the narrow streets, the 14th-century Maison des Consuls, the 15th-century Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Pont and the remains of the Saint-Amand abbey. It was on the banks of the Glane that the painter Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot found his inspiration, and today a site bears his name. Every 7 years, Saint-Junien celebrates its two hermits during the ostension ceremonies. These ceremonies are unique in that they involve a procession of over 1,000 people in costume. What's more, Saint-Junien is one of the only towns to have Swiss guards present during the ostensions.

At the bottom of rue Lucien Dumas, this beautiful 16th-century Renaissance house was built on 12th-century foundations. It still bears witness to Renaissance architecture, with cornices supported by modillions and mullioned windows. The upper section was remodeled in the early 20th century by local artist Jean Teillet.

This 13th-century bridge, 150 metres long, spans the Vienne River towards Rochechouart. It features six 14-metre segmental arches, six triangular foreshafts and six rectangular buttresses. On the banks of the Vienne River, it was the site of a large number of glove factories. Today, the site has been landscaped and is ideal for relaxing (picnic tables).

Built at the end of a 13th-century bridge of the same name, the Notre Dame du Pont chapel is in the flamboyant Gothic style. This 15th-century edifice was enlarged thanks to the generosity of Louis XI and restored at the end of the 19th century. The interior features a late 12th-century statue of the Virgin Mary. On the facade: a double door with coat-of-arms, embellished with an accolade arch, floriated pinnacles and a rose window.
