A looping route starting from the typical village of Buzan siuté on the southern slopes of the Bellongue valley, through deciduous forests and replanted Douglas fir.. Lookout point on the northern ridge with views over the valley and the peaks of the Couserans

A pleasant family hike above the village of Argein. This trail takes in the architecture of the Juncalas barns, once used to store hay. 00h -From the church square, turn left, heading east, along the Houraou path, part of the Chemin de St Jacques (GR78). After 200 m, near a wash-house, go back up the Chemin du Pouech for 100 m, then take a wide, flat track parallel to the D618 for about 1 km. 00:20 - Leave the GR and take a path to the left. Above the first ruined barn, the path continues flat to the small “Vignat” stream. It then continues east and north through the woods for 20 minutes. It doesn't take long to reach the first Granges de Juncalas. 1h00 - Towards the end of the hamlet (second group of barns), turn right and then left on the “Poujaou” path, which leads to the Paleraze plateau. Paleraze plateau, which offers a remarkable panorama. For the return journey, take the carriage road downhill: at the first crossroads on the right, take the second turning on the left back to the path you took at the start.

This lovely walk will take you down the Biros valley to admire the Etang d'Araing, nestling at the foot of the Pic du Crabère. Bordered by the GR10, the refuge overlooking it can be a stopover for discovering other natural beauties of the Biros. Additional information: We strongly advise against hiking the Etang d'Araing in winter (avalanche paths).

The former marble quarry dominates the valley and offers a magnificent view of the high peaks of the Castillonnais. You'll also discover the orri, an ancient dry-stone shelter for shepherds. The trail can also be explored on snowshoes.

A walk along the Biros soulane to discover the old marble quarry, where marble was cut using the straight step method and helical wire sawing. The route offers panoramic views from the Col de la Core to the Col de Nédé.

This loop takes in some ‘hidden’ villages and hamlets with an exceptional heritage, including the Ourjout chapel in Bordes with its 12th-century frescoes. You set off from the pretty little village of Cescau to reach the chapel of St-Michel de Loutrein (listed site), with its panoramic views of the high Castillonnais mountains and villages. Park in the car park at the bottom of the village of Cescau (play area and wash-house).

The Tour Sainte Catherine offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Balaguères valley and the high peaks of the Castillonnais. This vestige, visible from afar, is the only evidence of a castral dating from the 12th to 13th centuries.

In the Col de Larrieu forest, after pedalling up a forest road, a superb Flow Trail (3 km) begins, with banked bends, tables, bumps, roadgaps... and a natural gully! Right next door to their old-fashioned house is the nursery where Claudine and Charles will welcome you to their camping-garden, a haven of greenery and calm, ideal for a relaxing vacation and to recharge your batteries. The camping-garden has 12 pitches of 80 to 100 m2, grassy, flat, shady and bordered by flowering hedges (over 300 species or varieties of ornamental plants or fruit trees). We specialize in old varieties of southwestern fruit trees and apple juice production. Claudine and Charles also offer 2 traditional tepee accommodations.

In the heart of the Pyrenees and on the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela (GR78 - Voie du Piémont) between Saint-Lizier and Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges, welcome to Michelle's home. This bed and breakfast, with the "accueil de Compostelle" label, has 2 triple rooms, 1 double room and 1 dormitory for 7 people, spread over two floors. Each floor has its own bathroom with toilet. There is a bar-restaurant in the heart of the village of Portet d'Aspet (200 metres away). Gîte de Pomès, perfectly equipped to accommodate 5 people in an area of 52 m² and located at an altitude of 930 metres. On the outskirts of a small hamlet of 40 inhabitants, far from the hustle and bustle of the world, lies an old mountain sheepfold dating from 1825, completely renovated and refurbished. Situated along the route des cols Pyrénéens, famous for the many routes taken by the Tour de France. You'll enjoy a spectacular view of the Paloumère massif.
