Tout à la fois riche de son héritage et de ses paysages agricoles, le tour de la montagne du Riable permet une immersion au cœur d’un patrimoine naturel appréciable. Depuis le centre de Lachau, rejoindre Notre-Dame de Chalma. Suivre la piste qui progresse à l’orée des champs derrière l’église. A la seconde intersection, s’infléchir tout à fait à droite sur la piste. Atteindre la pinède en poursuivant sur la piste et amorcer la montée dans la montagne. A proximité de la clue, traverser le mince ruisseau puis grimper en lacets jusqu’au col.  Du col, il est possible de faire l'aller-retour à la Tour du Riable offrant un superbe panorama sur les paysages sauvages de la Méouge. Au retour au col, entreprendre la descente via la piste qui part en direction d’une ferme en contrebas. Rejoignant une plus large piste caillouteuse, délaisser la direction d’Eourres et le GRP. Poursuivre sur la piste principale et suivre le balisage jaune jusqu’au hameau du Château. Du hameau, descendre à gauche par la route qui se dérobe sous la montagne sur environ 3 km coupant à travers la clue. Dépasser le lieu-dit « Malaric », et, à l’intersection, traverser le pont sur l'Auzance. Suivre à gauche la D 201 sur 1 km. Au lieu-dit « l’Adret », franchir à nouveau un pont similaire à gauche, puis s’infléchir immédiatement à droite sur le sentier qui longe les champs avant de retrouver la route goudronnée. Poursuivre sur ce chemin (chemin des Iscles) jusqu’au carrefour. Au carrefour, marqué par le poteau « le Canal », retrouver Notre-Dame de Chalma à gauche, ou la Mairie à droite. 

La montée régulière en sous-bois à l’ubac sera appréciée pour sa fraîcheur. Au sommet, le panorama sur le village d’Eourres et les crêtes seront une belle récompense. Le versant adret offre une merveilleuse descente en balcon. Face à la mairie, prendre la route à gauche, traverser le pont puis prendre tout de suite à gauche (Chemin de la Pinié). Après 300 m, la route devient piste et passe entre 2 maisons. Suivre celle-ci qui monte progressivement à travers la forêt de pins et contourne la montagne du Défens. A la première fourche en forêt, continuer sur la piste principale à droite. Faire de même à la prochaine intersection avant un petit raidillon.  Longer un vaste pâturage vallonné et clôturé à gauche (chevaux). Le chemin oblique à gauche, longe toujours la clôture et arrive à une fourche. Suivre la piste de droite (Le Défens) et poursuivre la montée à travers une jolie hêtraie. A l’intersection, monter à droite, longer une coupe forestière et atteindre la crête du Défens (zone en cours de repeuplement forestier). Plonger sur le versant adret en poursuivant son chemin par un joli petit sentier sillonnant à travers un sous-bois de chênes. Celui-ci dessine une belle traversée descendante sous la montagne du Défens pour rejoindre le fond de vallée. Rester vigilant et bien suivre le balisage et cairns en traversant la lande à genêts et lavandes sauvages, autrement le chemin se perd facilement. Arrivé en bas, traverser un chemin et poursuivre sur le sentier d’en face. Il tourne rapidement à gauche pour rejoindre 50 mètres plus loin la piste à prendre à droite pour rejoindre les quelques maisons visibles. Descendre la route jusqu’à la jonction avec la D 201. Prendre la passerelle en face, puis tourner de suite à droite pour regagner Lachau en longeant la rivière rive gauche. Continuer sur la route en face, puis, au poteau « Le Canal », à droite pour rejoindre le point de départ à la mairie.

Ce parcours familial, simple et rapide, fait le tour du village atypique d’Eourres et ses environs. Etant situé dans un lieu coupé du monde, les habitants forment une communauté et prônent pour de nouvelles manières de vivre. Cet itinéraire VTT offre une belle visite de ce village d'initiatives. Depuis le parking d’entrée du village d'Eourres, le parcours serpente dans les ruelles avant de rejoindre une piste qui s’éloigne pour explorer les environs (en direction le Col Saint Pierre). Cette piste, en balcon, offre une vue dégagée sur la vallée. Un peu plus tard (point d'altitude 1111 m), le circuit emprunte un sentier qui descend puis qui retourne vers le village.

Ce long itinéraire sportif est composé de plusieurs passages techniques tels que des montées et descentes très raides sur chemins ou sentiers cassants.Il permet de découvrir le magnifique vallon situé entre la montagne du Riable et la montagne du Pied du Mulet. L’itinéraire démarre sur le parking visiteur d’Eourres. Il monte tout d’abord dans le centre du village avant d'emprunter un sentier qui descend dans le fond de la vallée. Le circuit remonte en passant par un sentier à flanc de montagne, puis s’enfonce dans les bois pour rejoindre une piste qui redescend jusqu’à la D201. Prendre à gauche et après environ 1km sur la route, l’itinéraire quitte celle-ci en traversant un pont sur la gauche. L'itinéraire passe par un champ avant de rejoindre les alentours du village de Lachau. Ensuite, le circuit repart en direction d’Eourres en passant par une piste, par moment bien raide. Dans un vallon, le circuit biffurque en direction du Pied du Mulet en passant à travers les champs de lavande. Il repart vers Eourres en offrant une vue plongeante sur le village et passe à travers les champs et les bois (attention plusieurs passages exposés au vide à la descente, en particulier au lieu-dit "la Petite").

Agréable circuit à travers des pâturages et dans une nature préservée. Avec sa forme de sabot, le Pied du Mulet, point culminant de la Méouge, offre un panorama sur les Ecrins, le Luberon et le mont Ventoux. Du parking, monter au village par le sentier à droite. Traverser Eourres par la rue principale à gauche en passant devant le "tableau du village", la fontaine... Au sortir du bourg, quitter la petite route pour emprunter le chemin de droite ("Col de Verdun, Saint-Vincent"). Contourner la dernière maison par une sente à gauche. Poursuivre au-dessus de cette dernière par une sente souvent raide et caillouteuse. Au niveau d'un captage d'eau, monter à gauche sur 1 km environ, par un sentier entre les rochers. Après une courte descente, passer un gué, contourner un gros rocher et monter à gauche par une sente regulière, peu pentue jusqu'au poteau "Col de Verdun" (1316 m). Grimper à droite en direction du Pied du Mulet par un sentier peu marqué à travers les genêts puis les buis. Le sentier s'infléchit à droite et, après un bon raidillon rocheux, déboucher au-dessus de la falaise dans une pelouse inclinée. La traverser et virer plein ouest (bien suivre les jalons) pour arriver sur un petit mamelon (1459 m ; panorama sur Lure et la vallée du Jabron). Suivre la crête, traverser un premier vallon (cairn), continuer tout droit en montée (bien suivre les jalons) pour rejoindre, sur la crête (1495 m), un second vallon (poteau). Possibilité de gagner à vue le sommet de la montagne du Pied du Mulet (1537 m) en traversant le pâturage. Dévaler le vallon à droite pour trouver un sentier mieux marqué à l'ombre des hêtres. Suivre la lisière de forêt sur près de 500 m, puis prendre à gauche une trace pour déboucher sur un sentier un peu plus bas (1272 m). Partir à gauche et à plat sur environ 700 m, traverser le pâturage à droite (bien suivre le balisage). Descendre deux buttes successives puis prendre à droite (flèche "Eourres") et poursuivre en descente dans ce vallon érodé (traversée de quelques pierriers). Après un replat, descendre à gauche, franchir le Gros Ruisseau (pourtant loin d'être impressionnant en été). Le longer sur une centaine de mètres puis remonter au village par le sentier à droite en bordure des jardins. Par l'itinéraire de montée, rejoindre le parking.

This circuit is divided in two key steps: the beginning is a long and steady rise with no particular difficulties and some various atmosphere: undergrowth ways, clearings ones… Once on the ridge, the trail is a lot more athletic but offers a breathtaking panoramic view on Méouge and Lure valleys. Back in 1975, Eourres village was nearly abandoned. Buildings were renovated by today’s new inhabitants whose were looking for a better quality of life. The village activities are mainly based on agriculture, biology and tourism. A specific connection can be felt in this isolated village as the messages on the information board at the village entrance tell. (Carshare, birthday’s notes, varie services,) You can park your car at the village entrance and hike up the path on your right. This path leads to the village information board. Pass by the fountain and take the 2nd path on your left near the « Montagne de Mare, Col St-Pierre par la Sapie » signpost. Start onto a small path going through pastures. Go on the path leading to Mare Mountain and ignore the path on your left going down to the Damias. The path crosses pastures and follow it until St Pierre pass. A faster but more athletic variant trail exists by taking the path on your right heading to Mare Mountain. Straight forward, cross two clearings (1363 meters). They are located at the end of a small valley. When the second clearing crossed, take the undergrowth way on your right. Here, you can enjoy the beeches forest coolness. In a small clearing near a ridge, go on your right on the hiking up way. Go to the end of the clearing (1403 meters) and take another path on your right, ignoring a wide way on the right. At the end of the way, take the path going down to a cairn (1420 meters). When you reach Alpine grasses, keep looking for a signpost on the left ridge. Go to it by crossing the slope. From here, starts the most athletic part. At the signpost, hike up and follow the ridge on your right. The rise is quite tough, but it is worth the effort if you want to see a stunning view. Go along the fence leading to the summit. At the signpost, do not follow Eourres way back but continue to follow the fence. Still follow the fence on your left a few meters before the summit. The path goes down a stiff slope until the pass. At the pass, go down straight forward on the ridge. At the signpost near a huge rock (1502 meters), go down on your right. The steep paths lead to Verdun pass. At the markings ways junction, turn right towards Eourres. The path slightly goes down and becomes more and more craggy. At Verdun pass (1314 meters), braves ones can hike up to « Pied du Mulet » and then go down to Eourres by old tracks. Otherwise, you also can cross the ford on your right (1201 meters) and go down to the village.

Le Jas Jirard est une ancienne cabane de berger en pierres sèches ou il est possible d’envisager un arrêt pour la nuit. Cet abri de fortune en pierre sèche, sur la montagne de Chanteduc, a été restauré par des passionnés lors de chantiers participatifs. (Pas d’eau ni électricité : prévoir d’être en parfaite autonomie). A l’embouchure des gorges de la Méouge, ce circuit offre une immersion totale au cœur de la nature. Ce parcours démarre sur le parking de Salérans, à côté de la mairie. Il commence par grimper sur les hauteurs en empruntant un petit sentier face de la mairie, entouré de buis. Une fois sur la route, parcourir environ 250 m, puis suivre la piste de droite et monter jusqu’à l’intersection, à l’orée de la forêt. Au niveau de la patte d'oie, prendre à droite et continuer sur la piste qui s’enfonce dans les bois jusqu’à ce qu’elle s’arrête. Au bout de la piste, prendre le sentier qui monte à gauche dans le talus et poursuivre l’ascension soutenue sur ce dernier jusqu’à la crête. Remonter la crête sur la gauche jusqu’au panneau directionnel et bifurquer à gauche sur un sentier amenant au refuge. L’itinéraire redescend aux Près des Auberts et continue en empruntant une piste. Rester sur celle-ci puis prendre à gauche aux intersections pour revenir au croisement N°3. Redescendre à Salérans par le même chemin qu'à l'aller.

Ce parcours fait le tour du Peydés, petit sommet culminant à 1118m d’altitude, et permet une évasion loin de toute trace de civilisation. Il se fait exclusivement sur piste et sa distance fait sa difficulté. A partir du point de départ, rester sur la même route qui monte plein nord. Celle-ci se transforme en piste peu de temps après jusqu’au prochain panneau directionnel nommé « La grange Dès ». Au panneau directionnel, tourner à gauche et continuer tout droit jusqu’à atteindre le prochain nommé « Le Jas ». En arrivant au panneau, prendre à droite jusqu’au prochain nommé « Forêt de la Méouge ». Au niveau du panneau directionnel, continuer tout droit jusqu’au col de la Crousette. Au col de la Crousette, prendre la piste la plus à droite pour revenir au point n°2. Après cela, il ne reste plus qu’à redescendre au point de départ

Cet itinéraire à la frontière des départements de la Drôme et des Hautes-Alpes offre une vue panoramique en crête ! L’étendue des espaces en alpages est à couper le souffle. A ne pas manquer ! Au poteau directionnel, emprunter la piste qui descend à gauche. A l’intersection au niveau de la ruine, tourner à droite puis passer devant le poteau « DFCI – réserve de la Tussie ». A la prochaine bifurcation, prendre à droite, remonter la piste en lacets et traverser un petit ruisseau. Poursuivre la montée sur piste jusqu'à une prairie. En continuant tout droit, rejoindre un petit sentier qui longe une clôture. Suivre ce sentier et, plus loin, à l'intersection, prendre tout droit ; possibilité de monter directement sur la crête par la droite. Traverser un petit ruisseau à sec puis un espace marneux. Grimper alors au Col de Tous les Vents précédé d’un petit passage en forêt. Au col, poursuivre la sente à droite puis traverser une Forêt Domaniale en empruntant une large piste à droite. A la prochaine intersection, prendre à droite en montant pour atteindre le col d’Izon (1343 m). Au col d'Izon, tourner à droite, direction "Montagne de Chamouse - 1,5 km". Suivre les balises qui mènent aux vastes alpages de Chamouse. Traverser les alpages jusqu’au sommet de Chamouse (1532 m). Il n’y a plus de sentier sur cette partie du parcours, suivre les cairns. Redescendre sur 900 m le long de la crête. Au poteau directionnel, bifurquer à droite sur un petit sentier descendant dans la forêt ("La Tussie" - 1430 m) direction "Laborel". Traverser la hêtraie, et continuer à descendre. Plus bas, le sentier devient une piste. Poursuivre sur cette piste pour revenir au point de départ.

Entièrement dans la Drôme, cette boucle de 82 km fait pédaler au coeur du parc naturel régional des Baronnies Provençales. En chemin, plusieurs cols emblématiques du secteur se succédent (comme le col de Perty et le col Saint Jean). L'itinéraire fait passer également le long de rivières caractéritiques comme le Toulourenc, la Méouge et l'Ouvèze. Depuis Laborel, c'est par une ascension jusqu'au Col Saint Jean que débute cet itinéraire (denivelé positif de 328 m). Redescendre à Izon-la-Bruisse et Eygalayes où les virages s'enchaînent. Regagner la D542 pour rouler jusqu'à Séderon. Il est temps de garvir le Col de Macuègne avec une pente moyenne de 4.7% (dénivelé positif de 262 m). Il offre une vue magnifique sur la face nord du Mont Ventoux. Rejoindre Montbrun-les-Bains, station thermale réputée et village médiéval qui figure parmi les plus beaux villages de France. Suivre la D159 qui longe le Toulourenc (rivière qu'alimente le mont Ventoux et qui coule dans une gorge profonde pour une belle halte rafraîchissante). Après Aulan et le col d'Aulan, rejoindre la D546 pour pédaler jusqu'à St-Auban-sur-l'Ouvèze. De là débute l'ascension pour le fameux Col de Perty (une montée de 18 km de long, pour un dénivelé positif de 698 m). Il faut poursuivre sur la D65, le long de l'Ouvèze (affluent du Rhône) et rejoindre le col par plusieurs épingles qui se succèdent. Le parcours se termine en beauté par une belle descente du col jusqu'à Laborel.

Located on the mountain of Chabre, the Col de St-Ange stands out due to the impressive cliffs that surround it. A climbing site is located there.

Mosses and lichens adorning trees of this shaded slope are plants called "epiphytes" (that grow on other plants) and are not parasites for their supports. Lichens are the result of a symbiosis between a fungus and an alga. The carpet of mosses and "clumps" of lichens that color the wood of this ubac slope or north-facing slope (slope which receives little sunshine) testifies to the fact that these plants mainly appreciate wet and cool areas.

Originally named "Vallis petrosus" (stony valley) in Latin and then "Valpetrus" in the Middle Ages, the village of Orpierre is widely related to the cliffs that surround it. Orpierre was a walled town in the 14th century with a perched castle between two cliffs to the east of the village.
