A lovely walk in the Pyrenean foothills for the whole family, young and old alike. Everyone will appreciate the peace and quiet of the surrounding area. This is more of a walk than a hike. A pleasant tour of the villages of Ardiège and Cier-de-Rivière with a few typical Comminges houses, squares and wash houses giving an idea of life in days gone by.

This hike in the Pyrenean foothills will allow you to discover traditional architecture and a beautiful panorama of the Sauveterre-de-Comminges region. Starting from the village of Cier-de-Rivière, you will set off on a pleasant hike through the woods in the Pyrenean foothills.

A loop at the foot of the Haut-Garonne Pyrenees with beautiful hills on country roads. Departure from Montréjeau-Gourdan-Polignan station towards St-Bertrand de Comminges. You will pass close to the Gargas caves. You will tackle a series of hills (Montoussé, St-Arroman, Mazouau, Hèches, Col de Coupe).

A loop at the foot of the Haut-Garonne Pyrenees to prepare for slightly more mountainous routes. Depart from Montréjeau-Gourdan-Polignan station towards Pointis de Rivière, Ardiège and Barbazan. Then you reach Loures Barousse for a ride through the Barousse valley with some nice hills. After St-Bertrand de Comminges, the route is flat back to the starting point.

A walk through the hamlets of Sauveterre-de-Comminges, culminating in the 11th-century keep. This walk takes you through forests and open paths. You will pass through four of the 11 hamlets that make up Sauveterre-de-Comminges and follow sections of the GR86 trail.

Set off to discover the heritage of the Piedmont region, with its thermal baths, lake and old buildings. This mountain bike ride will offer you a breath of fresh air but also a few drops of sweat. Due to its profile, this circuit is one of the most technical rides in Piedmont. The route consists mainly of single-track trails. You will encounter short but challenging climbs, but your efforts will be rewarded with fun descents.

Admire the church of Seilhan and its octagonal bell tower with a terrace. In summer, it is not uncommon to see kayakers paddling down the Garonne... An idea for your next outing? When the weather is hot, several beaches along the Garonne are ideal for relaxing. They are perfect for a picnic. In the distance, you can admire the magnificent cathedral of St-Bertrand de Comminges. There are many beaches where you can take a break.

Set off to discover some of the eleven hamlets that make up the sprawling village of Sauveterre de Comminges. This easy route alternates between tracks and single-track trails in the woods. Take care on the descent to the hamlet of Lôo, which can become slippery in wet weather. You can make a short detour and climb up to the chapel and the Barry tower, an ancient medieval enclosure with breathtaking views.

This route takes you on a bird's-eye view of Sauveterre de Comminges and its hamlets. A complete itinerary for all keen mountain bikers, offering all the ingredients for a great technical ride. The climbs can be short and technical or long and rolling, accompanied by varied descents. Not for the faint-hearted!

A family route providing access to tourist and natural sites: Barbazan lake, Saint-Just de Valcabrère basilica and the village of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges with its beautiful cathedral. This route is accessible to all, is easy and can also be done on a hybrid bike. However, please take care when crossing roads and on sections of the main road.

This is a Roman building from the 11th and 12th Centuries. The Collégiale is an important Comminges religious site with its cloister and chapter house, which was one of the cathedral chapters, the clerics, established by Bishop Bertrand. Built in the 11th century and raised in the 12th century, the Collegiate Church houses a remarkable collection of Romanesque sculptures (capitals and bas-reliefs). You can also admire the three Aubusson tapestries dating from the middle of the 18th century, and the 17th-century organs with a Cavaillé-Coll instrument. The bell tower, built in the 19th century, has one of the finest carillonx in the Midi-Pyrénées region. Discover the cloister and chapter house (12th-13th centuries). It is an old bastide founded in the 13th century by the Cistercian monks of Nizors Abbey. The town centre, dominated by the church of Notre Dame de l'Assomption, still houses vestiges such as loopholes, walls and moats. Labelled "Station Verte" (Green resort) for nature holidays! The town of Boulogne, with two coats of arms, is an ancient bastide founded in the 13th century by the Cistercian monks of the Abbey of Nizors. Nestled between Gascony and the Pyrenees, in the Pays de Comminges. The town centre, dominated by the church of Notre Dame de l'Assomption, still houses vestiges of this bastide. Rich in this historical past, Boulogne sur Gesse remains the guarantor of local traditions and know-how. Surrounded by lakes, wooded and protected areas, this rural village is a peaceful holiday resort where its undulating landscapes form a restful area.

Hall built according to the project of the architect Achille Ambialet, in 1869. The town hall forms a monumental ensemble that brings together the functions of market, town hall and justice. It is a mixed structure with a main facade of dressed stone with traditional architectural decoration, and a metal structure for the market area.

In 1283, Abbot Taillefer, superior of the Cistercian abbey of Nizors, founded the bastide town of Boulogne. The church was started around this time but finalised later. It used to have a rectangular plan. Side chapels were added in the 15th century. The base of the square tower forms a vaulted porch, supported by large square pillars. The spire above the bell tower was destroyed by lightning in 1883 and rebuilt in 1890. The lower part is one of the rare testimonies of 14th century bastide architecture.

Passez auprès de celle-ci et suivez le sentier pentu. Plus bas, à l'intersection avec une piste plus large, tournez à gauche et redescendez en direction de la route goudronnée en bas du chemin de croix.Alternative : possibilité lorsque vous êtes à la chapelle, de redescendre vers votre véhicule en empruntant la route goudronnée qui suit le calvaire. A la croix VII, vue panoramique sur le village de Valentine, la centrale EDF, le lac de Sède.

A prehistoric shelter occupied during the Aurignacian period (35,000 years ago), this archaeological site is accessible all year round from the museum along a short 1.5km shaded path dotted with informative stops. Discovered by chance in 1852 in Aurignac's town, this cave was excavated in 1860 by the famous palaeontologist Edouard Lartet. Remains of animals, tools and hunting weapons from the begining of the upper Palaeolithic era were discevered on site. Since 1913, this place is the eponymous Aurignacien's place.

A former Cistercian abbey and granddaughter of Cîteaux, founded in 1136, the Bonnefont monastery was largely dismantled in the 19th century and its parts sold off. Open to the public from June to September: guided historical tours, medieval garden, exhibitions, concerts, lectures, workshops, etc. From its creation in 1136 until its dismantling in the 19th century, Bonnefont Abbey was one of the most important religious and economic players in southern Toulouse. In particular, it was responsible for the creation of numerous bastides (fortified towns) such as Boussens, Carbonne and Plaisance du Touch. Most of its buildings were sold after the Revolution, which explains why today the site consists solely of the Porterie, the Bâtiment des convers, the Lavabo and a few other pieces of architecture. The Syndicat Mixte de l'Abbaye de Bonnefont, made up of the Conseil Départemental de la Haute-Garonne and the Communauté de communes Cagire Garonne Salat, offers a rich programme of cultural events (concerts, workshops, lectures, etc.) throughout the summer. Guided tours of the history of the site and the medieval garden during the afternoons when the site is open (times vary according to the season, see the events programme). Unguided visits outside guided tour times. Themed tours of the garden are organised every Sunday at 3pm during the season.

Opened a year and a half ago on the village square in Roquefort-sur-Garonne, it's a one-stop shop with a bar/coffee corner where you can enjoy craft beers and wine, as well as coffee and tea from local producers. You'll also find a delicatessen corner stocked with local and south-western products, as well as the press (Dépêche and Gazette du Comminges), a bread depot and, more recently, the Française des Jeux. I also offer 'Anti-Gaspi' baskets. Charcuterie and cheese platters are available for evenings organised in the bar. Other boards can also be made depending on what's available and what's in season.
