A very nice endurance course between forest, alpine pastures and forest from Arêches that you can shorten by 6km and 1h15 by taking the chairlift of the Grand-Mont open 2 to 3 times a week in July and August. No major technical difficulties. It is a great adventure that awaits you on this long course with multiple variants if you want to shorten it. First ascent on road and track oriented North-East, from where you will admire the valley of Arêches and the pretty hamlet of Boudin. Just before Le Plateau du Cuvy, you will descend on a very pleasant trail despite small thorns and roots. Above Saint Guérin, towards Le Col du Pré, you will cross beautiful pastures to the sound of the cows bells, around the Acrays from where the view is splendid. The crossing to the Col du Pré can sometimes be slippery on a wet terrain, equipped with bridges. The last descent is in the forest of Le Bersend up to Le Praz hamlet, with a return on road to Arêches.

All these facilities were designed with a view to their conversion after the Olympic Games, and the gamble paid off. This square tower is the most representative monument of the Middle Ages and the only witness to the Château de la Cour, which once stretched across this public garden. The Bernadines occupied the site in the 17th century.

The chapel was built in 1627 and dedicated to Saint Bernard de Menthon and Saint Barbara. Gaspard Cornuty, prior curate of Gilly until 1633, is rector of the Aidier village chapel, dedicated to Saint Bernard de Menthon and Saint Barbara, as well as the Saint Michael chapel in the Gilly church. March 7, 1879: André Portier commissioned his heir to repair the chapel floor and install a tin cross. 1973: Restoration of the chapel is undertaken by a committee set up to finance the work.
