A great network of easy footpaths over the whole of Les Mottets Leisure Centre, located to the South of the Lac du Bourget. Departing from Aix-les-Bains station, the route reaches the shores and beaches of Lac du Bourget, France's largest natural lake, before arriving in Chambéry, Ville d'Art et d'Histoire. The route continues to Montmélian and Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny, through the vineyards of Cœur de Savoie. It then reaches the Pays d'Albertville, with the Belledonne range in the background, then Ugine, Doussard and the Sources du lac d'Annecy, before reaching Annecy and its old town via Duingt, Saint-Jorioz and Sevrier. Return by train from Annecy station to Aix-les-Bains. (Cycling to Aix-les-Bains is possible by taking the cycle-discovery route n°51 out of Annecy). Nb: You can plan your itinerary with a different starting point, accessing the route via the SNCF stations at Chambéry, Montmélian or Albertville, and shaping it as you wish with your choice of stops, visits, stages and overnight stays. You can also discover it over half a day, a day or several days.

When you arrive in Aix-les-Bains Riviera des Alpes, you can explore the town's heritage by bike before heading to the Grand Port on the shores of Lac du Bourget, following the V63 signs and strolling along the Esplanade du Lac or visiting Aqualis, the Lac du Bourget interpretation center. At the end of the esplanade, follow the V63 towards Le Bourget-du-Lac. This pleasant stretch of road, lined with reedbeds and with beautiful views of the Dent du Chat, the Chaine de l'Epine and Mont Revard, runs alongside Lac du Bourget, the largest natural lake in France, and gives full meaning to the word "wellness". There are three beaches along the way (Rowing, Lido, Mottets), ideal for a swim, picnic, refreshment or to follow the ballet of kit-surf sails. In the hamlet of Terre Nue, restaurants offer specialties from the lake. At Les Mottets, don't miss out on a visit to the freely accessible bird observatories. Then follow the greenway along the course of the Leysse to reach Chambéry, a city of Art and History.

Departing from Aix les Bains, this climb takes you to the summit of Mont Revard, where you can enjoy a 360° view of the lake and Mont Blanc. Although the summit altitude is moderate at 1538 m, it's a long climb that awaits you, with almost 1300 m of D+ to be climbed over the 22 kilometers. The slope is steady, however, and much of it is done in the shade of the forest. Once you've reached the summit, you can either return down the Chambérien side of the mountain, or continue on into the Bauges. This ascent totals 886 points on a squared grading scale.

This lookout over the city is just a 15-minutes walk from the city-centre. This viewpoint is situated on the upper part of the Bois Vidal, and is accessible via a path of the same name. From the centre, take the Boulevard de la Roche du Roi to enter the Bois Vidal. Staying on the main path, you will come to this viewpoint with an almost 180° panorama over the town centre and the north of the Lac du Bourget, as well as la Dent du Chat and the Grand Colombier.
