The GR® de Pays Beaujolais-Bugey par la Dombes links the hills of the Lyonnais to the south of Bugey. It winds its way through the vineyards of Beaujolais, along the towpath of the Saône and through the Dombes region of lakes. The GR® de Pays Beaujolais-Bugey par la Dombes starts from the GR®76 near the village of Sainte-Paule (Rhône) and crosses several lines of hills before joining the Saône. It crosses the Saône to enter the Ain between Anse and St-Bernard. From here, it follows the towpath to Parcieux. It then crosses the Dombes plateau and its ponds. It crosses the Ain at the Chazey bridge, and after skirting the Rhône, climbs up to join the GR®59 in the Bugey mountains.

Circuit through Bois Calane and Bois des Pommes. At the start of the tour, you'll pass by the Polleteins farm (former vestige of the now-defunct Chartreuse de Polleteins) and the Dimanche pond. Close to the ViaRhôna and the Voie Bleue, the Dombes is also a great area for cycling, walking and horse-riding! It's up to you to choose your itinerary and means of transport... Located at the highest point in Francheville, the fort is nestled in the heart of a 10 hectares wooded site. It was built from 1878 to 1881 and is part of the Séré de Rivières system, named after its designer, also known as “Vauban de la Revanche”… The fort was an ammunition compound during the second world war, and was acquired by the town of Francheville in 1979. In 1989 it became a cultural area, with art workshops in the 'Cité des Artistes'. Today it is known as the Contemprary Art Centre. In the park, discover the nature of the area with the nature trails created for the purpose.

For a century the Château des Loges was privately owned. In 1960, the Cave Beaujolais de Perréon was acquired by this Beaujolais property and a winemaking cooperative was created on the estate. The wine-tasting cellar was founded in 1962. In 1989, the château was renovated. Two years of hard work resulted in the estate as we can see it today. In 1995, the Lagarde family took over the estate's hotel business. The Château des Loges was completely renovated and transformed into 10 guestrooms (comfort, grand comfort and one family suite) decorated in an old-fashioned way and each bearing the name of a Beaujolais wine.
