Situated in the heart of the village of Pontmain, close to the basilica, its arboretum and a magnificent forest, your host Martine offers you the comfortable and modern flat "Auprès de mon arbre" on the first and top floor of a local stone house. The 75 m2 flat can accommodate 2 to 3 people and comprises : - a living room with a fully-equipped kitchen (oven, hob, coffee maker, fridge and microwave), dining room and sitting area - a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed - bathroom with bath, separate toilet - a laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board, steam generator and hoover. Compulsory cleaning charge (depending on length of stay). + €20 for each additional person using the second bed. Cot available on request, as well as safety gate. Pets not accepted.

Established in Lessay since 1931, the REO cheese dairy specializes in the production of dairy products, including the famous Camembert de Normandie PDO. The cheese is traditionally made from raw milk, ladled by hand as in the past. You can visit the REO Camembert production workshops, by reservation only as the number of places is limited.

The Romanesque abbey, a listed building, was founded in the 11th century by the Barons of La Haye-du-Puits. It was one of the first buildings to be entirely vaulted over intersecting ribs. Following its destruction in 1944, identical reconstruction was conducted by Yves-Marie Froidevaux, chief architect at the listed monuments department.

Artisanal production of smoked hams and charcuterie products. Visits to the workshop are by prior arrangement on Thursday mornings in July and August, and all year round for groups of 10 or more. The adjoining store is open every day except Sundays and public holidays, and on certain Mondays (please enquire before visiting).
