The itinerary is marked on the ground (green dotted lines) and is accompanied by a descriptive booklet available free of charge at the Tourist Office.

One of the easiest cycling stages, heading from Bressuire to Nueil-Les-Aubiers along the old Bressuire–Nueil-Les-Aubiers railway line, which criss-crosses and overlooks the Bressuire bocage, offering 360° views. From this greenway, you can see the old Voultegon station. You can even take a short detour to the Voulmentin picnic area (Voultegon district). This church, founded in the 10th century by the Viscount of Thouars who gave it to the Abbey of Saint-Cyprien de Poitiers, was rebuilt in the 13th century. All that remains of the 13th century church is the circular apse in primitive Romanesque style and its cornice with modillions. The facade having been reworked it keeps a simple Romanesque door. Bought in 1946 by the association "Les amis du vieux Bressuire", it was sold to the commune in 1949 to be transformed into a museum. Recently restored, it is currently used as a cultural space for exhibitions and events (concerts, etc.) The building was listed as a historic monument in 1937.

As a place for meeting and mixing, the library must also be a simple place where people are welcomed in a friendly atmosphere and where they can get good advice. Built on a rocky promontory in the 11th century, the château, owned by the Beaumont family, has constantly reinforced its defensive system, with up to three successive enclosures. Today, you can follow the 700 m-long enclosure, punctuated by 38 towers, some of which have been set up as isolated strongholds, and stroll past the romantic ruins of the 15th-century dwelling. From the esplanade, take in the view of the Chapelle St Cyprien and the former 19th-century abattoirs. Over 50 years ago, the fertile mind of Abbot Rochard yielded something unique; the animated manger is at once a show, treasure and a monument to his ingeniousness. Since 2007, it has belonged to the town of Bressuire, where a team of impassioned volunteers has brought it back to life in an original, historic site. The 30-minute spectacle is both fascinating and astonishing; it is an animated fresco representing a village in Palestine two thousand years ago. 120 lifelike characters are made to move and the scenes succeed each other with perfectly synchronized sound and light. Housed in the former granaries of the town, the Bressuire museum evokes the history of the Bocage through recent archaeological discoveries and works of art (sculptures, paintings, silverware) mainly produced in the Bressuirais. An important collection of ceramics representative of the local production "Saint Porchaire" is exposed, from the medieval basins and pots, to the famous earthenware and vases of the 19th and 20th centuries. The Puy-Blain is a manor house built in 1589 in the enclosure of an older fortified house, at the foot of a 14th century tower. Its architecture and decorative elements are typical of the Vendée Renaissance, notably its elegant façade. Mentioned as early as 1383, it belonged in the 16th century to a friend of Rabelais.
