The Puy-Blain is a manor house built in 1589 in the enclosure of an older fortified house, at the foot of a 14th century tower. Its architecture and decorative elements are typical of the Vendée Renaissance, notably its elegant façade. Mentioned as early as 1383, it belonged in the 16th century to a friend of Rabelais. It is mentioned several times in the novels of Georges Bordonove. Listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments.
