Bressuire

Second town of the Deux-Sèvres with its 20,000 inhabitants, Bressuire has a long commercial tradition with its drapery activity, especially in the 15th century. Ruined following the insurrection in the Vendée, it recovered thanks to the arrival of the railway.
Discover the Notre-Dame church and its 56 m high bell tower and enter the building and admire the curved vaults of the nave in the Angevin Plantagenêt style, the 16th century choir illuminated by coloured stained glass windows and embellished by 19th century frescoes.
On the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, stop off at the Musée de Bressuire, an art and history museum housed in the town's former granaries.
You will take pleasure in continuing towards the castle, the chapel of St Cyprien and the sculptors' orchard.
