The unique location of the village of Corbel has always necessitated careful management of water resources by its inhabitants. Explore the village's ovens and fountains. Right from the start, it's truly remarkable! This village, perched above the Frou gorges, offers an exceptional panorama of the Hauts de Chartreuse. The steep slope on which Corbel is situated meant that early on, inhabitants had to devise ways to store water, which would otherwise quickly flow down to the Guiers Vif. Prior to the arrival of running water in 1989, each inhabitant had their own fountain or pond near their home. Explore these water features and the hamlets, which burst with flowers in summer. And yes, the village has been awarded its 1st Flower in the ‘Towns and Villages in Bloom’ competition! Upon your return, explore the communal garden, which mirrors the landscape of the Chartreuse through a selection of structured, local, and food-producing plants—a vibrant miniature landscape. You can also visit the church, notable for its stained glass windows by Arcabas. Lastly, the panoramic terrace of the Auberge Pompon is the perfect spot to relax after this delightful walk, brimming with landscapes and heritage.

This family-friendly hike explores the pastoral landscapes of the Entremonts valley, dominated by Mont Outheran and Mont Granier. Set off on an adventure from the campsite parking lot and plunge into the heart of the Chartreuse countryside. Your hike begins near the Coopérative laitière (where you'll find delicious produce for your picnic!), where you follow a path that joins the road to the hamlet of Les Bessons. Here, the road again becomes a path, leading you to the picturesque village of Désert d'Entremont. The landscape opens out onto the Hauts de Chartreuse Nature Reserve. Enjoy the magnificent panorama: from Mont Granier in the north, with its impressive cliffs, to the Dent de Crolles in the south, with the cliffs of Mont Outheran behind you. When you reach the cross-country skiing hostel, the descent awaits! You pass through the charming hamlet of La Réduire, then take the road to Les Martenons. Continue your exploration by taking the path on the left, leading to the hamlet of Plan Martin. At the entrance to the hamlet, head towards Entremont le Vieux. Once on the road, gently descend to the heart of the village, where you turn right towards the welcoming Auberge des Entremonts, returning to your starting point at the parking lot.

Physically challenging walk starting out from Attignat-Onicn, Lépin or Aiguebelette, with a change in altitude of 800 m and a clear view of the lake and its surrounding area (5 ½ to 6 ½ hrs, depending on the route).

Find out the secret behind the hydro machines, solving the puzzle set by Constant Colliat, owner of the silk works at Les Echelles. Via six hydro machines, visitors will have fun learning all about the history of water and how it has been used over the ages.

This nice loop reaches Lake Aiguebelette, and comes back to its starting point through the splendid hill of Saint-Franc. It is named after Queen Victoria, who might have spent time at the castle of La Bauche to enjoy the benefits of ferruginous water. Can be started from the Maison du lac d'Aiguebelette.

This route through the heart of the Chartreuse goes through the Gorges du Guiers and the spectacular Pas du Frou. It then snakes through the Gorges du Cozon and up to the Col de la Cluse, which offers an unfamiliar view of Mont Granier.

This easy-going walk snakes its way through the Rivièr'Alp site, an eco-tourism area in the Chartreuse valley, offering a multitude of family-friendly recreational activities. This nature walk takes you along the Guiers vif river and its network of canals, dams and sluices. Almost 2 km to stroll between the two villages. In summer, you'll enjoy natural, ecological swimming in pools surrounded by water gardens. Many other attractions await you, for young and old alike. Complementing this comfortable walk is the Promenade Savoyarde de Découverte: "the secret of the hydromachines", with a game guide available from the tourist office. In a playful way, you'll learn about the history and use of these funny hydraulic machines, which refer to the industrialist Constant COLLIAT, former owner of the Echelles silk factory.

The route also goes round Lake Aiguebelette and over the Col de l'Epine, although in which order will depend on where you start. Can be started from Chambéry. Geologically, Mont Grelle is regarded as the most southerly part of the Jura Mountains; therefore, most of this tour is in the Jura, not the Alps!

The first invites you to take a meander through a meander full of giant potholes, while the second, a refuge according to legend for the famous smuggler Mandrin, can be crossed on a footbridge 20m above the ground, offering a panoramic view. Access to the caves is by guided tour only. In the reception area, a free permanent exhibition presents the Fru site, home to the first prehistoric men in the Chartreuse! To discover this prehistoric habitat, you can follow a 2h30 hike punctuated by 12 play points for the whole family: "Sur la piste d'Azil et Magda" (On the trail of Azil and Magda). The Entremonts Nordic area, with its exceptional views, is a family-friendly ski resort with plenty of snowshoe trails, not forgetting its 40km of pistes, from green to black. The Entremonts Nordic area offers a wide choice of trails for both classic and skating cross-country skiing, to suit all levels of ability. Our site is characterised by alternating passages through deciduous and coniferous forests, and plateaux with remarkable views of the main Chartreuse peaks and Mont Blanc. The Entremonts Nordic area in Chartreuse is an incomparable playground. For beginners to cross-country skiing, there are special areas for beginners. For the more athletic skiers, the black Monfred piste will delight fans of long, technical runs. This Nordic area is located close to the family-friendly Alpine ski resort and offers other services such as restaurants, equipment hire, accommodation and snowshoe routes.

Campsite du Cozon: new owner, new impetus! The campsite spirit still exists. In St Pierre d’Entremont in Savoy between Chambéry and Grenoble, the campsite du Cozon is a small campsite with 26 spots and 3 canvas bungalows.

The Ruche à gîter is an inn where we can welcome you for a friend or family night, with your colleagues, when you come back from a hike or after lazing in the sun. The idea is to share a good meal “across the word”.

Located at the junction of the 2 Guiers Rivers, the Sauget is a nice artificial lake of 1ha. It welcomes an important population of roaches, tenches, carps and some pikes. Accessible for person with reduced mobility thanks to an equipped track, pontoon and a carpark. No Kill fishing for all species except pike (catch of one pike per day) Large numbers of roach and rotengle can be caught using any technique, from a simple rod and reel to a waggler, corn, maggot or worm with a good groundbait. On the lake, the best times are from April to the end of September. Common carp, leather or mirror, can be fished with boilies, corn hairs or all bottom baits. Tench, beautiful and majestic, often wandering along the bottom on hot summer days, can be a thrill to catch in the evening. The perch, a beautiful zebra, is not very abundant in the lake, but it is home to some large specimens: fishing for it with a spoon or lure can provide some pleasant surprises. Pike, also in small numbers as they have never been stocked, are nevertheless present with some fine specimens, and who knows? The chance of a livebait or a lure could give this magnificent fish a superb fight.

Small family campsite right on the water, on the edge of the lac d'Aiguebelette, with a private beach (unsupervised). Amazing view on the Épine mountain. Located in Lépin-le-Lac, the 3-star Le Curtelet campsite welcomes you on a green plot of land at an altitude of 400 metres, nestled at the gateway to the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park and on the shores of Lake Aiguebelette, which is directly accessible from the site. In the waterfront campsite, you can install your motorhomes, tents and caravans on shaded or semi-shaded pitches, with possible access to an electric hook-up.

In front of the train station, rent all kind of adult bikes (eletric bikes, mountain bikes...), children bikes and trailers. Also: repairs and maintenance, bike delivery and guided tours.

This belvedere offers a panoramic view on the gates of the Chartreuse Massif, you can, find your bearings thanks to an orientation table.

It is the oldest church of the Entremonts. Remarkable church known for its amazing stained glasses, made by the artist Arcabas. Recently the door was change to put a new one, designed and made by Arcabas.

This garden transposes the Carthusian landscape through the choice of local plants. The maintenance is made by local volunteers.

Since June 2023, the Cave Bear Museum offers a new visitor route with modern and interactive scenography.

The Grenand canyon is a short distance from the lake and known as one of the most beautiful canyons in Savoie. Possible to get there on foot or to do canyoning. "La combe du Grenand" path, starting from La Bridoire, will take people on a journey to discover fluvial erosion, gorges and waterfalls. This small loop of 2.5 km is equipped with educating kiosks in order to discover the work of water. People can do some canyoning if they like thrilling sensations while discovering the river with its waterfalls, slides and gorges.

The Cascade de Saint-Cassin is located on the foothills of the Massif de la Chartreuse. The stream flows almost vertically into the Hyères, and is thus completely separate from the cliff. This particularity is a key reason for the popularity of the waterfall, and has made Saint-Cassin known to walkers. Famous writers, such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Lamartine and even Georges Sand have marvelled at this natural wonder.
