the Mediterranean, where the vines, planted on restanques (traditional Provençal dry-stone retaining walls) up to 300 metres above sea level, live in perfect symbiosis with a carefully preserved ecosystem and an exceptional local soil. Those factors on their own would justify the estate's classification as a "clos” or a "climate”, like the great wines of Burgundy.

WINES
* Château de Pibarnon Rouge 2012
Mourvedre - Grenache. 2012 is a vintage revealing firmness as well as great elegance. This wine seems to offer juicy fruits from the first sip, it then reveals unexpected depths and lengths with subtle spicy and minty notes.

* Château de Pibarnon Rosé 2014
Mourvedre, Cinsault. The Pibarnon Rosé's gourmet nature asserts itself again and again. Some notes of citrus, but also ripe fruits explode before revealing licorice, ever-present thanks to Mourvèdre. A mouth full of freshness and body, amplified by the sap and fruit, viscosity and spices. A Beautifully balanced wine.

* Vieux Marc de Bandol 1993
To taste an old marc, choose "chimney”cognac glasses, instead of the classical round ones. This marc is not only elegant, but really interesting thanks to its strength. It is no longer aggressive. The nose is quite suave, with complex aromas of raisins, plum, prune, and a hint of liquorice. A powerful and ample mouth, followed by a long and elegant final.

TO SEE / TO DO
Every Thursday night from 21st May to 24th September, the Château de Pibarnon reopens its gates to welcome you to the « Pi-Bar Éphémère » from 7pm to 10pm (shuts at 10pm). It is here that the "Pop-up Pi-Bar" takes up residence in summer. Under the glow of the setting sun, come to experience a timeless moment in the company of Epicurus at the summit of Pibarnon.
