La Cave de la Courna

Description

For Cave de la Courna, wine is a true love story. Growers and harvesters on a 4-hectare estate, they cultivate their wines with passion. Chardonnay, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier aligoté, Pinot Noir, Rosé, Syrah, Mondeuse.
In 2017, after winning a gold medal for their Chardonnay at the 31st Saint-Chef wine and regional produce fair, they decided to obtain planting rights to expand.

Today, the soil is worked by Aurélia and her horse Ulysse.
The ewes fertilise and clean their vines alongside the poultry. At the same time, they vinify grapes from other estates.

You can discover the cuvées made from these wonderful grape varieties once Serge has finished making them in the cellar.
- Le crucilleux: a blend of Chardonnay and Aligoté grapes
- Les Chanelles: a blend of Pinot and Gamay
- Le Pinot: 90% Pinot and Gamay blend
- L'Ulysse: 100% Aligoté

For groups of 10 or more, we offer :
- A tour of the farm, which can be done on a pony for the little ones, with a discovery of the farm animals (poultry, rabbits)
- A demonstration of animal traction: working the vines with their horse.
- A neighbourhood transhumance: the sheep change pens.

Groups can enjoy a meal at the Cave de la Courna. It will be prepared by Monique from the Taverne Rustique (restaurant in Saint-Chef).
