This small family farm, nestled in the Valley of the Slate quarries for 9 months of the year, spends its summers in its mountain pasture, located at an altitude of 1800m.
Visit them at Les Gouilles Rouges every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Refreshments and light meals available
Take a walk through the alpine pasture, where you'll meet goats, yaks, and pigs, before reaching the mountain chalet. There, you can enjoy drinks, light meals, and buy locally made cheese.
Getting there:
From Avoriaz, walk via the Chemin des Grandes Sutes (around 45 minutes) along a beautiful mountainside trail.
From Morzine, access is via Morzinette (approximately 30 minutes beyond Morzinette) or via the Crot trail.
In the valley, cheese is available for purchase at the Chevrerie des Ardoisières farm shop on Thursdays and Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
