With its small lake bordered by large rocks, the refuge of Pombie is the starting point of all the ascents and climbs to the Pic du Midi d'Ossau. To reach it, two routes are possible by the cirque of Anéou or by the Caillou de Soques. This circuit presents you the access by the Caillou de Soques.

The Arrémoulit refuge and its lake at 2305 m are nestled in the heart of a glacial cirque formed by the walls of the Ossau valley?s highest peaks (Palas 2974 m, Arriel 2824 m). Access is easy, with no technical difficulties, allowing hikers to explore the mineral world of the high mountains and their high-altitude lakes.

The Lac d'Anglas hike is one of the must-do itineraries starting from Gourette. It offers a varied mountain landscape where waterfalls, cliffs and a lake enhance the grandiose scenery of the high-altitude pastures you pass through.

The balconies of Gourette are a very easy hike / walk that will take you around the resort of Gourette. This loop will allow you to gain a little height and to admire the resort. It is an ideal itinerary for beginners or for families.

Itinerary goes up on the sector Cotch to the place called "Les Fontaines de Cotch" or nearly 800m of uneven, open access. The climb is done under the practitioner's entire responsibility. The itinerary is adapted for all levels, from 3 to 83 years! An activity leader will be present to take care of the little kids while the bigger ones take on the via ferrata course accompanied by expert mountain guides. The itinerary is fully secure and all equipment adheres to strict safety regulations. You will be provided with everything you need: harness, helmet, ropes and carabiners. At the end of your activity, tea and coffee will be served in a traditional shepherd's hut. The lake is located at the bottom of a small circus bounded by Pene-Medaa (2521 m) and Arre Sourins (2614 m). On the eastern flank of the circus are the remains of an iron mining exploitation. The mining galleries, for some totally blocked by landslides, alongside traces of the railroad that allowed the evacuation of materials. Ruins of building testify of the exploitation facilities, including the houses of miners. There is also a gallery and facilities on the other side of the mountain, downstream of Lake Uzious. Found there including a water channeling water line of Lake Uzious and the turbine which allow to produce energy. Access by the GR 10: 4h to go and return, or the chairlift Cotch - paying - in July-August : 1h go - back either by chairlift or by the GR10.

This magnificent wild plateau, a listed natural site, below the Artouste Train railway, is a pastoral plateau offering a wide choice of hikes, accessible from the Pont du Goua or from the Artouste cable cars or from the Artouste Train arrival station. It is also a privileged place for fishing enthusiasts.

The Green Mountain Farm is a farm of 19 hectares devoted to cattle farming - Blondes d'Aquitaine - and sheep - the Basque-Bearn sheep. Milk production is transformed on site: Christine makes and sells pure farm sheep cheese in the valley of Ossau and the greuil, feta and faisselle.
