By taking advantage of a quick transfer by TER train, one can envisage a beautiful bike ride along the Basque coast. The itinerary begins in the heart of Guéthary, with a balcony overlooking its small port where the memory of the whale hunters from the 12th to the 14th century hovers in the air, as fishing is anchored in the Getarian soul. The coastal cliffs are full of lookouts over the ocean, once used by whale and ship watchers, which the tour proposed here does not fail to compile in a magnificent two-wheeled stroll. A first loop visits the inland and discreetly reaches the neighboring town of Bidart. Heritage, beaches and villas follow one another until passing through Guéthary. The second part of the itinerary flirts with the coastal path, towards Saint-Jean-de-Luz by the beaches of Acotz, on lanes dedicated to bicycles.

This delightful loop allows an incursion into the lands of the Basque Country by beautiful hilly roads. It crosses typical villages, lakes and even passes, modest but full of charm. It is a tour between sea and mountains, rich in history, ideal for a morning of exercise.

The Basque Corniche connects the bay of Saint-Jean-De-Luz and the Bay of Hendaye. This itinerary connects these two emblematic places of the Basque Country, passing by the Fort of Socoa and the Castle of Abbadia. So many names that make you dream! The historical itinerary is no longer accessible for security reasons (landslides). This new path, far from the traffic, allows you to discover beautiful panoramas on the Pyrenees as well as on the Atlantic Ocean. The Basque coast reveals itself to you in the most beautiful way!

From Saint-Jean-de-Luz to Hendaye, the route runs along the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and offers beautiful views of the protected cove of Socoa. Then, the route rises on ridges, spectacular and panoramic, before plunging back down to the large beach of Hendaye.

A 100% safe bike ride that takes you to the departure point of the Train de la Rhune. You'll cycle along the Nivelle valley to the village of Ascain, before taking the old tramway track, now a greenway, to the Col de St Ignace. It's a great way to discover the valley and a responsible way to get to the Train de la Rhune.

Located to the south of Saint-Jean-de-Luz railway station, this beautiful, peaceful, well-landscaped promenade runs along the River Nivelle from the Urdazuri district towards the Chantaco golf course. It also invites you to enjoy the pleasures of the beach and stroll through the lively historic center of the Corsair town.

The Voie Verte de l'Uhabia is a soft path, shared by pedestrians and bicycles. This 6km walk starts at the Uhabia estuary, runs along its banks, bypasses the Ur Onea retention basin and continues to the Bassilour mill. It is then extended by a cycle path to the Izarbel technology park Nature" stops with wooden furniture, pontoons and reading tables are scattered along the route... These elements along the walk are appreciated by all members of the family. The Voie Verte de l'Uhabia allows you to cross Bidart from west to east and to discover the village in a different way.

This walk between sea and countryside takes in the new Voie Verte in Bidart, from the mouth of the Uhabia to the Bassilour mill. Its hard, rolling sand-colored surface will be a landmark. One of the most beautiful promontories of the Basque coast, halfway between Sainte-Barbe and Erromadie, at the top of two flysch cliffs, a kind of mille-feuille alternating hard and soft rocks. This place is known under the name of Archiloa which means "stone with a hole" in Basque language; a cross is set up there. The place is classified as a Sensitive Natural Area.

Entering the 16th-century church, the eye is immediately drawn to the 3-storey galleries built in 1636 and the impressive beams that support them. In 1649, Louis de Milhet, architect for the King of France, established in Bayonne, draws the new plans for the chruch.
