But to get there, you'll have to follow a series of each time, after strenuous efforts, will bring you to the start of descents, each more beautiful than the last: Bouesou and its forest hairpins, Souscousse and its twists and turns on limestone slabs, or Teinture and its bends in the middle of ferns. This stage will also allow you to appreciate the XXL landscapes of the Pic d'Anie massif and the deep canyons of the Haute-Soule.

The Gave tour is more than a trek, it's a great way to explore the Bedous plain and its built and rural heritage. What a treat it is to ride on these trails through the fields!

This peaceful year-round hike just minutes from the village of Accous is ideal for all the family. A walk around the Poey, shaped like an upside-down cone, feels like a "paseo": you'll see hikers, artworks and a bench to watch the sunset!

This walk takes us to the heart of the Vallée d'Aspe, to a village that has kept its pastoral traditions, but has also opened up to tourist and leisure activities. Discover its many facets by following an itinerary accessible to all, which takes in quiet little streets, a route de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle or a landscaped sidewalk.

This original trek is a return journey. It gives you an insight into the Accous Valley both ways! The trail ascends the Bergout's south side but stays in the shade then goes back down to the edge of the Berthe for a snack by the river.

Nestled between the Mardas, Montagnon and Escala ridges, what sets the Montagnon d'Iseye Lake apart is its heart shape and isolation. It's a long way to go to reach this natural wonder. Highly original trail.

This route is ideal for descent fans! The positive elevation by road and track makes it perfect for an enduro mountain bike. The descent features rocky and craggy sections in all their glory.

It is ideal for a hike with family or friends and suitable almost all year. But its ascent mainly in the shade makes it a prime choice for the hottest months. The cherry on the cake is the valley view on the descent punctuated with highlights

The Bergout Trail is a great one for beginners and for training. Here you have most of the features you'd expect from mountain running. The ascent is in the shade whilst the way back runs along a beautiful ridge with stunning views of the valley.

This is a red-blooded vertical kilometre for you. It's steep from the outset and the path climbs to the right then twists and turns after the piste. It's muddy so watch out for slippery damp leaves. Few opportunities to recover mean you have to balance your effort well.

In the Vallée d'Aspe, above the medieval village of Borce, the Parc'Ours Association invites you to visit a Park and Animal Refuge through a 7-hectare nature trail. Come and discover the animals of our mountains (bears, marmots, isards, ibexes, birds of prey, insects?) and the local flora (trees, flowers, mushrooms?). Our caretakers will reveal the secrets of the Pyrenean Brown Bear as it feeds. Enter the isard and mouflon enclosures to get up close and personal with a wild animal emblematic of our mountains. Hunt for clues to the presence of forest animals, and experience a privileged contact with the refuge?s animals. Your visit will be punctuated by educational panels, fun trails, a nature store, play areas and picnic areas...

Built in 1842 by order of Louis Philippe to guard the Pyrenean border. Set against a cliff overlooking the Gave d'Aspe, it faces the Chemin de la Mâture. Charged with protecting the Col du Somport road against Spanish incursions, it owes its fame to the political figures who were interned there during the Vichy regime: Blum, Daladier, Reynaud, Mandel, Gamelin? and then, after the war, Pétain. It was listed as a historic monument in 2005,

Chalet classified as furnished 2*, located at the end of the Chemin des Ancolies, in the village of the chalets, 500m from the shopping mall, the slopes and the lifts departing from the Pierre Saint-Martin resort. To spend pleasant moments you have a raclette machine, a fondue machine and a waffle machine at your disposal. The picnic area of Accous located at the entrance of the village at the level of the Croix d'Espiat will offer you a breathtaking view of the paraglider flights. You can also admire the Cirque de montagnes d'Iseye. The site is a stone's throw from a skate park where you can enjoy BMX, rollerblading and skateboarding of course. There are also games for children. Tables are at your disposal to enjoy a picnic in the heart of the Aspe valley.

Our cheese is very typical with a taste marked by the healthy feeding of our herd all year round, a breeding which is not forced, the taste of the mountain grass and the particularity of our salting house. With a rich milk, we make a strong and creamy cheese. My favourite cheese is the so-called mixed cheese made from a mixture of the two milks. Made with 30l of cow's milk and 15l of sheep's milk, the latter being twice as rich as cow's milk, we make a cheese with the same proportions of sheep/cow. This allows us to obtain a cheese that keeps the typicality of the ewe's milk while adding the creaminess of the cow's. Despite the tradition of our valley, there are very few of us who make this cheese, which adds a touch of rarity to it. We also offer cooked lamb and mutton dishes.

As soon as the weather is right, the sky over Accous is teeming with paragliders. Take-off is on the Bergout. If you fancy a maiden flight or lessons then an Air-attitude school in Accous has all the expertise and skills you need.

This little 12th century chapel devoted to Saint Saturnin was burnt down by Joan of Arc's troops in 1569. Now restored, its sundial, modillions and chrismon are just a few reasons to stop here.

Our family-run business is located in the Pyrenees of the Aspe valley, in the village of Lées-Athas, and offers two types of product: tome des Pyrénées (ewe's, mixed and cow's milk) and farmhouse ice creams made from ewe's milk. Our ice creams are available in 1-liter, 1/2-liter and individual tubs. Seven flavors are available: blueberry, hay, tangerine, hazelnut, vanilla, chocolate and cherry. You'll be able to choose even more flavors at our summer event markets and at Bedous on Thursday mornings.

Basque pelota (racket or bare-hand game) is a classic sport and requires a wall called a "fronton". There are 2152 registered frontons in France and Spain. The highest amount is located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Basque Country and Navarre. Every village in these regions has its own fronton.

Looking in direction of Accous, you can sight the Col d'Iseye. Between the Pic de Bergon and Permayou, it's one of the passage to the valley.

Situated in Osse-en-Aspe, a small village in the Aspe Valley and the Pyrenees Béarnaises, the Saillet picnic area is just a few steps away from the church square on the edge of the Gave d'Aspe, where you can go fishing or simply refresh yourself. Equipped with barbecues and wooden tables for a convivial moment or simply for a cool break, you can stop here in the shade of the trees or take a walk along the river.

Transhumance & cie located in Bedous in the Aspe valley. Our menus and menu are essentially inspired by the culinary heritage of the Bearn region and the work of the local breeders and producers. The garbure is every day in the menu. Dishes in sauce simmered in a wood-fired oven, meats grilled over a wood fire, roasted in the fireplace, farm cheeses in raclette or melted over the embers... The desserts also include traditional Béarn specialties or our specialties: milhassou, Aspe cake, our crumble "Brigalha", and from February to August the ewe's milk cheese and even summer cheese from the end of June to mid-August. In Bedous, in the Pyrenees Béarnaises in the Valley of Aspe, Liza and Daniel welcome you in their restaurant equipped with a shaded terrace for the beautiful days. You will find daily menus that are out of the everyday life and some Asian notes here and there. The choice and quality are there with no less than 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. Liza, originally from Asia, also offers you an Asian menu on reservation to be tasted on the spot or to take away. You will have an overview of typical and tasty dishes. At an altitude of 700 m, overlooking the Vallée d'Aspe, the Château d'Arance is at the heart of the village of Cette-Eygun. This 13th-century residence boasts an exceptional panoramic view. At the crossroads of the GR10 and the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, we invite you to stop off at Borce, a magnificent mountain village with a medieval feel. The Auberge de l'ours in the Vallée d'Aspe is a multi-service business: crêperie, bar, gite étape, grocery store and bread depot. Newly taken over, the Bistrot "Les Pas Sages" offers you daily menus cooked with local products in the heart of the village of Sarrance at the entrance to the Aspe valley.
