C'est une jolie promenade familiale autour de la station de Fromentine, alternant les sentiers ombragés de la forêt avec le littoral ouvert sur la Baie de Bourgneuf, pour revenir dans les ruelles de Fromentine. A marée basse, vous pourrez apercevoir le Passage du Gois reliant le continent à l'île de Noirmoutier.

With this trail you will be able to see the cross of the castle situated “impasse du château” and the castle de la Bretonnière which was built in the 15th century. At the end of the trail, you will see the “Moulin Neuf”, which was built in 1702 and is open to the public thanks to an association.

You can enjoy the aquatic area with an indoor pool and a heated outdoor pool as well as a children's lagoon and its daisy. A snack bar is open in high season with entertainment for young and old! The village shops and restaurants, located 100 meters from the campsite, are open all year round. A perfect situation not to use the car on your vacation! The coal mines were extremely important from the 17th century.

Buildings from the former 17th century Presbytery were restored and transformed into the town hall in 2007 and "Les Digitales" Art Centre in 2011. The Art Centre is a place for activities and exhibits. It displays different models of farming machinery from the collection of Mr Sevestre, a passionate farmer from Caden, and holds a museum presenting farming activities from yesterday and today with interviews from local farmers.

It was restored in the 18th century by the rector of Caden, Jean-Louis de la Houssaye. The date "1756" is written over the side door. It is one of the six friar chapels of Caden. The inside is decorated with 21th century frescos painted by a local artist representing landscapes of the surrounding countryside.

The first chapel was built by the monastic community of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem during the 12th century and under the control of Carentoir like the chapels of Gorvello, Molac and Guerno. It was restored in the 18th century and decorated with a Classical-style pediment on the main door.

Slate mining began around 1878 and finished around 1911. The largest quarry called "Guenfol" or "Blue Lake" had an above ground surface area of 3,500m2. 18 to 20 million slates were extracted per year by nearly 300 labourers. The site was then transformed and today known as "Park de Préhistoire" (Prehistoric Park).

Saint Michel de la Grêle Chapel dates back to the 17th century. It replaced the old Saint Michel Priory, which belonged to the Benedictine Abbey of Redon. Today, the chapel (renovated in the 20th century) is used to celebrate religious services on the feast day of Notre Dame de la Tronchaye (the Sunday following 15 August). Take a few steps back and turn left after the tree-lined alley. Take one of the many small streets of Rochefort. Immediately after, turn left towards Place des Halles.

Both the 16th century fountain and washhouse are made of regular granite surrounded by a small stone wall. The fountain looks like a small temple sitting large columns and topped with a domed roof. A small alcove was built for the Saint's statue.

The campsite, located 10 minutes from Pornic, offers you many quality services to make your stay comfortable: New in 2020: an indoor heated swimming pool with balneotherapy and paddling pool. A large aquatic area with slide. A complete playground: a pirate play structure, an inflatable structure, a multi-sport complex, a games room with billiards, a ping-pong table and 9 pétanque courts. A wide range of rentals and many camping pitches. During the high season, many activities are offered to you (evening show, hypnosis, concert, dance evenings, karaoke, quiz, etc...) as well as a children's club.

For your convenience, an emptying area is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The drinking water refueling terminal costs € 2 per 100 liters. (payment in credit card only). On the area, the tourist information office can also provide you with information on the possibilities for visits and hikes in the area, practical services (maps, tide times, town maps, etc.), and informs you about local shops.
