Nature's delights at De La Pequiniere GAEC

Beginning at the sports complex, this trail will take you north of the town. You will see the castle du Pont Hus and its famous stud farm but also the “logis du Breuil”, a renovated fort.

A walking trail to discover the paths of the countryside. It begins in the city center, at the parking lot of the sports complex of Fernant Sastre, do not miss the visible heritage such as the church, the old town, the windmill…  It is possible to prolong this walk towards the port La Rivière, where you can see the castle of the Pont Hus then follow the path to get to a point of view on the river L’Erdre.  

Prepare yourself for a hike of 2 hours long with 500 metres along the water. You will admire the vast expanse of the Plains of Mazerolles with 3 kilometres long and 1 kilometre large. This site is ideal for kids. It is also possible to go fishing for people with reduced mobility. Or you can have a picnic or some sport. At the end of this loop, you will see the Castle of La Baraudière surrounded by its stone walls from the 19th century and not far from there the Castle of Bois Mellet. A plate has been placed at the entry and it is written “qui a accueilli, cache et protégé les résistants de la région” which means “that has hosted, hided and protected the resistants of the region”.

Discover the Plains of Mazerolles, a vast expanse of water of 3 kilometres long and 1 kilometre large. With a little bit of patience, you may see herons on the shores and a lot of other birds during migration season. Labelled refuge of the French League for the Protection of Birds (LPO), the site has also three beehives financed by the collectivity and an orchard. A themed path has also been created by the Municipality. The trail begins on the edges of the river Erdre to go through the undergrowth alleys, steep paths and goes through adorable little villages. It is possible to join the port of Sucé-sur-Erdre if you take the Atlantic Coast Route, or from the city-centre for this hike. The departure point is from the nautical base of Mazerolles.

The beginning of the hike starts at the parking of the train station. This trail has several variants that allows you to go on real steep trails like a maze with parallel roads. It has a distinguished atmosphere, secret and mesmerising. When you come back, go down to the port where you will find our restaurants and for those who love nature, make a stop to the “Ganuchaud” botanic garden which is located at the end of “la rue d’Angleterre”. Also, pass by “La Cour Gaillard” which is in “La Grand-Rue” and was edified by protestants at the Edit of Nantes. This site stays, until 1685, an important protestant place.

The marshes of Blanche Noë are in the south of Nort-sur-Erdre in which you can find an ornithological and aquatic site allowing you discover its fauna and its flora. At the beginning of the lake, have a walk along the river Erdre to arrive at Port Mulon’s Castle and its park. Appreciate the charming villages of “Tomblehoux”, “Gâtine” and “La Poupinière” and see the vantage point on the river Erdre and the plains. Then, join the canal and by going through the moat and see the viewpoint from Quihex’s lockhouse and further along eat at the gourmet terrace of La Tindière. To finish go through the village of Le Plessis pas Brunet to go back to the lake.

The Circuit of Vive-Eve Discover the atmosphere of the Nantes-Brest Canal, its towpath converted for different types of hiking, its lock-houses, water tourism, fishing … On this itinerary, taken by cyclists on the Atlantic Coast Route and pilgrims of Saint Jacques of Compostelle, the towpath will guide you to the lock house of La Tindière and its gourmet terrace. You can park at the Vive-Eve bridge where you will have an information sign on the history of the Canal and picnic tables. From this parking it is also possible to extend your walk the other way to the lock house of Quihex. You will see a remarkable view of the plains of La Poupinière and the Valley of the Erdre

Welcome to La Tiny Doré! Let yourself be rocked in this unique accommodation with a cocooning atmosphere. Located in the countryside on the edge of a farm, it can accommodate up to 6 people. Here you'll find peace and quiet, close to nature, where you can recharge your batteries for a weekend or more. Everything has been created by the owners, in wood using quality materials. In 12 m², you have a bathroom with shower and toilet, a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, hob, microwave, kettle, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, toaster, dishes, cutlery), a sitting area with television, table and a sofa bed for 2 people (140/200), a tiny bedroom with a double bed (160/190). The Tiny House also has an air-conditioned veranda with table, water point, washing machine, iron and a double bed on the mezzanine (140/190), laundry room, dry toilets and a storage area (balls, badminton net, next vintage bikes). You will have private access to 700 m² of lawned outdoor space with plantings, a large terrace with plancha, a jacuzzi heated to 35°C and a Nordic bath. 2 private parking spaces. Wifi available, non-smoking interior. A cot and changing table are also available. Sheets are not provided (extra charge). Beds are equipped with mattress protectors, duvets and pillows.

At the Maison du Potier, you're in exactly the right place to discover a local craft: pottery. Young and old alike can have fun on the tour, watching demonstrations and taking part in the manipulations, playing with the clay... It's a fun visit, ideal for the whole family, with a guide or on your own with the help of a fun booklet, to try your hand at becoming a real pottery apprentice! Through the recently updated scenography, everyone can discover the world of ceramics, from the object to the work of art. During your visit, you'll be able to watch a film retracing the steps involved in extracting the clay and making a pot. The visit can continue with a modelling workshop, where children can play with clay and awaken their creativity. And to round off the day, take a walk in the clay moors, just a stone's throw from the Maison du Potier... With your family or friends, come and make your own igloo box using the colombin and plaque techniques. You can decorate it in the colours of your choice. Collective work on the first 3 Sundays in December and the last 2 Mondays from 2pm to 4pm. Please arrive ten minutes before the workshop to collect payment so that the workshop can start at the time indicated. Prices: package for 4 people 38€ (firing and glazing included) + €11 per additional person. Looking for some fresh air? Escape to the Espace Naturel la Corbelière in Moulins and fill up on greenery! This 2 km trail, on a preserved site, is at the heart of a vast bocage landscape, cradle of springs where meadows, ponds, hedges and small streams mingle. This site has been awarded the "Espace Naturel Sensitive" label. With the family: a moment of complicity guaranteed! On your own: a great opportunity to recharge your batteries! Thanks to the support of the Département des Deux-Sèvres, JDO Paysages (Terves) has installed two attractive and fun footbridges. They're sure to delight young and old alike! An educational panel talks about "mollins". What are they? To find out, scan the QR code on the panel and listen to what the locals have to say. The site is also home to several geocaches, an orienteering course and a Tèrra Aventura course called "La Corbelière des z?ombres"

In the heart of the village of Landemont, Maud and Sylvain like to showcase local know-how by cooking fresh, regional produce. Discover traditional homemade cuisine and choose from a range of menus (starter, main course, dessert). Enjoy their burgers, pork sautés, bourguignon and other gourmet dishes. In fine weather, you can also enjoy the terrace. And Friday is beurre blanc day! Evenings and weekends, reservations only for 15 people or more.

The Bar Botine is an atmospheric bar perched above the Barbotine lake in Le Fuilet. From 10 May to 30 September, you can meet up with friends or family for a drink, live concerts and a host of cultural events. If you're feeling peckish, there are also chips and hot dogs for sale on site. The Bar Botine has a terrace with large wooden tables and benches (5 tables and 10 benches) as well as 30 chairs and individual tables. There is also a children's area with wooden games. The bar promises a friendly and lively summer, with the chance to go windsurfing or play a game of volleyball. There will be shuffleboard and molkky tournaments, blinds tests, karaoke and one musical performance a week.

Every lunchtime from Monday to Friday, the restaurant team serves traditional menus consisting of a starter buffet, a choice of traditional dishes or grilled meats, and a dessert buffet. All the meat is French, or even local, especially our beef. Every Friday, the traditional fish with beurre blanc sauce is on the menu. The restaurant has 2 rooms on the ground floor with a capacity of around 72 seats, a bar (15-20 seats), and a terrace with more than 30 seats. It is possible to accommodate groups for meetings upstairs and to offer lunch in the 2nd room upstairs (maximum 18-20 people).

The Romantica restaurant welcomes you in an air-conditioned dining room or on the terrace on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday lunchtimes and evenings, Thursday lunchtimes and Sunday evenings only. The restaurant can seat 34 people inside and more than 20 on the terrace. Pizzas, fresh pasta, salads... to eat in or take away.
