The "Still Museum" retraces the life of the "bouilleurs de cru", or jobbing distillers, at the period when the right to distill was still handed down from generation to generation. In the heart of the Rhône Valley at Saint-Désirat in the Ardèche department, the Distillerie Jean Gauthier and the Musée de l'Alambic show the charm and tell the story of a vanished past, that of itinerant distillers.
