Hike : Côte de Serrières

In 1990, Frederic Boissonnet took over the family property. The house founded in 17 century, located in Serrieres, offers vaulted cellar, restaured with passion where there are raised our Saint Joseph and Condrieu wines.On the steep hillsides which overlook the Valley of Rhone, we work average 11 hectars of vines in the respect of terroir and the control of yields.

Family property of 11.5 hectars, we produce the red and white Saint Joseph appellations as well as Condrieu appellation. Located at Serrières, at the forefront in Ardeche, not far from the Loire area.

The church of Saint Sornin is a classified historical monument dating from the 15th century and today houses the Bargees' Museum.

The pond of the jousts is the executive of the tournaments organized by the Serrieres' club, the most titled of France.Demonstration and performance take place every Wednesday in hight season from 4 PM to 8 PMThe construction of the pound was begun by Jules Roche during the creation of low port in 1890, then upgrade and expend the port facilities. The creation of the Lifeguards was created in 1896. They organise tournaments of jousts.

The museum is inside the Saint-Sornin chapel, a classified monument. It has three main sections: - a collection of recently uncovered religious frescoes - the necropolis church - canal transport and bargee crosses (fixed to the front of the barges).

From this magnificent point of view, you can look down over the Rhône Valley and the Platière Island nature reserve.
