AN ARTISTIC ROUTE BETWEEN SOUSTONS CITY AND SOUSTONS BEACH The concretization of a project a little bit crazy! It is an incredible project which sees the day along the 8 kilometers of the soft way which connect the lake of Soustons to the ocean beach! SCULPTURES IMAGINED BY CHILDREN AND MADE BY STUDENTS All started from the communal will to develop an educational, environmental and cultural project of territory, concretized thanks to the imagination of the teacher and the pupils of CM2 of the school of Isle Verte and to the meeting with an eco-interpreter with whom they worked on the artistic interpretation of the fauna and the flora met on these 8 kilometers of green way.

This loop guarantees you an incredible diversity of landscapes! The secure cycle paths take you past the ocean beaches, the marine lake of Port d'Albret, the forest of tall pines and the shady shores of Lake Soustons. Get on your bike and discover the beauty of the south coast of the Landes.

From the picnic area on the road to Bénesse, climb up to the highest point at 64 m. Along a marked walking route of almost 2 km, discover the local fauna and flora. "Wild Coast"! The name of the site holds the promise of a change of scenery and isolation. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, the 34 hectares of the Conservatoire's property in the commune of Soorts-Hossegor, form a well-preserved dune barrier of sufficient height and width to hide from beach users the residential areas hidden under the forest fringe. Between the ocean beach to the west and the Boulevard du Front de Mer which runs along the back dune to the east, the site is 95% composed of non-forested dunes. The natural forest edge is almost absent, only a few relics are present in the central zone, but are quite degraded. The dune is gently sloping on the beach side and steeper to the east. It is covered with sparse vegetation. It is a beautiful example of a dune of the south Landes coastline, which is rare and not very prone to erosion.

Protecting 52 ha of wetlands, the Nature Reserve is the home of characteristic wildlife habitats in Les Landes. A wooden plank footpath leads you to the lake through a swamp forest, bog, stream... L'Etang Noir which gives its name to the nature reserve stands out by its deep waters and mudflats. The surrounding swamp forest generates dense shade and this reinforces the mysterious atmosphere of the site. At the end of the plank footpath, you'll discover a stunning view on the Etang Noir lake. We work directly with two cocoa origins: a major player in conservation agriculture in Guatemala and a defender of peasant farming in Vietnam. L'Étang Blanc straddles Seignosse, Tosse and Soustons. It is intermittently accessible and offers magnificent light all year round. You won't be able to walk around it, as the marshy meadows that border it are protected and inaccessible. The numerous stilt huts are used as duck-hunting blinds.

The smallest and least accessible of the 5 lakes of the commune, separated from Lac Blanc only by a bridge, it is a real reserve au naturel. However, some of it can be avoided by walk and enjoy superb views of the wildlife and wild flora.

The bouldering gym offers a unique experience for climbers of all levels, in a warm and friendly setting on the edge of a national forest.
