SCULPTURES IMAGINED BY CHILDREN AND MADE BY STUDENTS All started from the communal will to develop an educational, environmental and cultural project of territory, concretized thanks to the imagination of the teacher and the pupils of CM2 of the school of Isle Verte and to the meeting with an eco-interpreter with whom they worked on the artistic interpretation of the fauna and the flora met on these 8 kilometers of green way.

From the picnic area on the road to Bénesse, climb up to the highest point at 64 m. Along a marked walking route of almost 2 km, discover the local fauna and flora. Perched on one of the viewpoints, contemplate the horizon, the Marais d'Orx and the 9 churches with the help of the orientation tables. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees and the ocean in the distance... 1.2 km long, the seafront promenade will allow you to admire the beaches of Hossegor and the Place des Landais, an architectural site classified as an "area for the enhancement of architecture and heritage" of the most prestigious. You will take a footbridge inaugurated in 2010 while enjoying the view of the ocean and the Pyrenees chain.

An abandoned and dilapidated goshawk, which the knowledgeable handymen of the City Council have rehabilitated. This one culminates on a hillock, the fifth explanatory site described during the walk. Signs briefly tell the life of the Landes forest. The one of the ditches evokes swamps, the road to Compostela, shepherds, sanitation... The cork oaks are an excuse to learn about their economic role in Vieux-Boucau. She transforms and valorizes the resin left over from the manufacture of surfboards in her renowned Blend Glassing workshop, located near Seignosse. Moulded, sanded and polished by hand, each object is unique and made in small series. Heritage – Gallery The Fonds Labégorre shelters a heritage area dedicated to the work of art and career of the Aquitaine painter Serge Labégorre : the very last great artist of the expressionnist movement ; as well as a large art gallery where the canvases of this great painter, whose work is regularly renewed, meet the work of other symbolic artists, during temporary exhibitions. The smallest and least accessible of the 5 lakes of the commune, separated from Lac Blanc only by a bridge, it is a real reserve au naturel. However, some of it can be avoided by walk and enjoy superb views of the wildlife and wild flora.

Protecting 52 ha of wetlands, the Nature Reserve is the home of characteristic wildlife habitats in Les Landes. A wooden plank footpath leads you to the lake through a swamp forest, bog, stream... L'Etang Noir which gives its name to the nature reserve stands out by its deep waters and mudflats. The surrounding swamp forest generates dense shade and this reinforces the mysterious atmosphere of the site. At the end of the plank footpath, you'll discover a stunning view on the Etang Noir lake. Imagined by the landscape architect Guillaume Laizé of the Bordeaux workshop Palimpseste in 2008, the Lande park, covering an area of about 4 hectares, will be created in 2010. Many birds can be observed here, which come to feed on seeds and insects. The flowered fallows also contribute to the reception and the improvement of biodiversity.
