This nice loop reaches Lake Aiguebelette, and comes back to its starting point through the splendid hill of Saint-Franc. It is named after Queen Victoria, who might have spent time at the castle of La Bauche to enjoy the benefits of ferruginous water. Can be started from the Maison du lac d'Aiguebelette.

This easy-going walk snakes its way through the Rivièr'Alp site, an eco-tourism area in the Chartreuse valley, offering a multitude of family-friendly recreational activities. This nature walk takes you along the Guiers vif river and its network of canals, dams and sluices. Almost 2 km to stroll between the two villages. In summer, you'll enjoy natural, ecological swimming in pools surrounded by water gardens. Many other attractions await you, for young and old alike. Complementing this comfortable walk is the Promenade Savoyarde de Découverte: "the secret of the hydromachines", with a game guide available from the tourist office. In a playful way, you'll learn about the history and use of these funny hydraulic machines, which refer to the industrialist Constant COLLIAT, former owner of the Echelles silk factory.

The route also goes round Lake Aiguebelette and over the Col de l'Epine, although in which order will depend on where you start. Can be started from Chambéry. Geologically, Mont Grelle is regarded as the most southerly part of the Jura Mountains; therefore, most of this tour is in the Jura, not the Alps!

This route through the heart of the Chartreuse goes through the Gorges du Guiers and the spectacular Pas du Frou. It then snakes through the Gorges du Cozon and up to the Col de la Cluse, which offers an unfamiliar view of Mont Granier.

In a narrow canyon, here is a walk in the exceptional site of the Voie Sarde, a former road reorganized during the XVII century.

A short loop with the option of a round trip. Ideal for families, it offers a stroll through forests and meadows. The highlight: a breathtaking view of the Guiers valley from the pointe du Frou. From the La Ruchère Nordic site, start your itinerary by taking the forest path to the right of the cross-country ski trail entrance. After a long descent, you'll make your way to the pointe du Frou (summer itinerary) and back, before taking the meadows back to the hostel. This entirely wooded route takes you to the pointe du Frou, where you can enjoy a spectacular panorama of the Guiers valley (take care around the cliff). On the way back, cross magnificent meadows offering breathtaking views of the Ruchère site.

Starting from the Nordic site of La Ruchère, a secret, intimate route with views of the summits that are not to be missed. From the Col de la Ruchère you can admire Chamechaude, Grand Som and Petit Som. From the Nordic site at La Ruchère, head up along the toboggan run to begin the ascent along the new GR. At Cernay, turn left to reach a flat area and then a meadow. Continue straight ahead to reach the entrance to the meadow leading to the Col de l'Aliénar. The loop continues at the edge of the forest on your right as you come down from this pass (or on your left if you don't take the time to climb it). You arrive at the Tracol and continue straight on to reach the superb Col de la Ruchère and its view of the 3 surrounding peaks. On the way back, turn right onto a wide track that leads back to Le Habert. Follow the road until you can turn left to climb back up through the meadow below the fireplace. A secret, intimate trail with unmissable views of the peaks.

This route is for experienced snowshoers and can be done during the day. You can admire the Riondettes lookout with its panorama of St Laurent du Pont and especially Arpison, the meadow and the lookout with a breathtaking view of the Currière Monastery. The course starts and finishes in the same place as number 2. Starting from the La Ruchère Nordic site, you begin in the forest to the right of the entrance to the cross-country trails. The wide trail winds its way back to the cross-country ski trails, with narrower sections undergrowth. You skirt the edge of the communal forest, then cross the tracks to join the wide path to the Riondettes belvedere. The view over the valley is splendid. Go back a few metres and take the right-hand loop with a short climb that continues towards the Col de la Sariette. Continue left to join a wide track that climbs steeply to the Rochers de Pertuis ridge. You then descend to the Arpison meadow, which you climb up to reach the Belvedere and its exceptional panorama. Go back down the meadow and turn left onto the cross-country track, continuing downhill to join trail no. 2 at the end of the Riondettes meadow. Forests and meadows finally bring you back to the foyer, with a last sumptuous view of the cliffs of Les Eparres and Pas Dinay.

Located at the junction of the 2 Guiers Rivers, the Sauget is a nice artificial lake of 1ha. It welcomes an important population of roaches, tenches, carps and some pikes. Accessible for person with reduced mobility thanks to an equipped track, pontoon and a carpark. No Kill fishing for all species except pike (catch of one pike per day) Large numbers of roach and rotengle can be caught using any technique, from a simple rod and reel to a waggler, corn, maggot or worm with a good groundbait. On the lake, the best times are from April to the end of September. Common carp, leather or mirror, can be fished with boilies, corn hairs or all bottom baits. Tench, beautiful and majestic, often wandering along the bottom on hot summer days, can be a thrill to catch in the evening. The perch, a beautiful zebra, is not very abundant in the lake, but it is home to some large specimens: fishing for it with a spoon or lure can provide some pleasant surprises. Pike, also in small numbers as they have never been stocked, are nevertheless present with some fine specimens, and who knows? The chance of a livebait or a lure could give this magnificent fish a superb fight.
