Le Belvédère d'Arpison
Description
This route is for experienced snowshoers and can be done during the day. You can admire the Riondettes lookout with its panorama of St Laurent du Pont and especially Arpison, the meadow and the lookout with a breathtaking view of the Currière Monastery.
From the Nordic site of la Ruchère, let the building behind you and follow the snowshoes marked path on your right. The first part of the hike is in the forest and make you reach les Riondettes and a panoramic view over St Laurent du Pont and the valley. Then, follow Col de la Sariette where you turn left to keep going in the forest to the Plateau d’Arpison and its meadow. Cross the entire plateau to meet the Belvedere d’Arpison and its panorama over the Chartreuse de Currière. Then cross again the meadow to follow the marked path on the right to come back to the Nordic site.

Located between 1165 and 1450 m of altitude, with 35km of cross-country ski trails groomed for alternating and skating, it is a real plateau relief unique in the Chartreuse massif that welcomes you!. The green, blue, yellow, red and black trails open up to you and lead to the magnificent meadows of Les Riondettes and Arpison. Four snowshoe itineraries of varying difficulty are entirely marked out by a team of mountain and Nordic skiing professionals. The snowshoeing itineraries : La pointe du Frou, 5 km Tour des Riondettes, 7km The Col de la Ruchère, 9 km The Belvédère d'Arpison, 13 km The network of varied trails leads through spruce undergrowth and soothing glades.
