Lovely walking tour sometimes through fields, sometimes underwoods or in the shade. Be carreful, few crossings on busy roads and respect fields. To see, the tower of Pinet and the Blaches forest. 1- Head along the tennis courts by a path which goes up to the post "Le Salin". Then turn right and reach the "Chez David" post. 2- Turn left and continue to climb the hillside by a track which enters the Blaches state forest. At the junction with a forest road, go right and join the D538 at the post "L'étang des Blaches". Turn right and then left on the road to Montseveroux. 3- Immediately turn left on the wide track which runs along a pond (private). Pass a first post "Les Blaches" and continue straight ahead. At the second post, turn left towards "Pinet". After two road crossings, reach the post "Tour de Pinet". > Variation to complete a small loop (5.7 km, 1hr45): go down to the foot of the Pinet Tower and continue to the hamlet of Pinet. Take a track on the left to "Le Salin". 4- Turn right and reach the post "Les crêtes". Turn left onto the gravel path that leads down the hillside to a road; go right to the end of the road and continue on a wide path in the undergrowth. Stay on this hillside path that borders the peaceful Combe de Vaux (Sensitive Natural Area). Take a partially paved track and then reach a hamlet. Continue to the right on the road and go up to the post "Le Paviot". 5- Go to Eyzin-Pinet. Go down to the D41 at the "Thibaud" post. Turn right and then, immediately after a bridge, turn left onto a farm track that joins the Gère stream. Cross at the ford and continue straight to join the hillside that you climb to join a road; follow it to the left. 6- After the houses, take the path on the crests. Then go down on a road that crosses a hamlet. In a dead end, take a wide grassy path on the right and reach the post "La Garde". 7- Turn left towards Eyzin-Pinet. After crossing the road, continue on a wide gravel road. Go along a poplar grove and cross the Gère again. Join a road on the hillside. 8- Go ahead on a path which climbs up to a road; take it to the right until you reach a crossroads. Continue up Colas hill and pass the houses before turning left onto a meadow path. Reach an isolated building that you go around on the right to find the post "Chez David". 2- Using the outward journey path, return to the starting point. Be careful when crossing busy roads. Respect the crops. Things to see: the Pinet Tower and Blaches state forest. Things to see: a curiosity, you’ll pass along an outsider art wall, created in the 1980s by a snake hunter.

A very hilly route alternating between undergrowth and meadows, offering many remarkable views of the Rhône Valley. From the car park, take the road on the left through the village. At the fountain, turn right to a cross. Continue straight past the house, then turn left on the way down. At the rise, turn right onto the trail. At the crossroads at the corner of the woods, turn right until you reach the post "La Croix des Chasseurs". Continue past the house and head across the field opposite at the corner of the road. Join it further on and stay on it until you reach "Les Barres" and, further on, the houses. Cross between the houses and turn left onto Chemin du Flachet. Stay on the main trail, cross the Gerbolle stream and reach the hamlet of La Balme. At the crossroads, turn right on the track and reach the post "Le Télégraphe". From there, turn left towards Vossère. Cross the D 46 and take a right onto the path which heads to the hamlet of Vossère. At the "Vossère" post, turn left and join the road. Go down the hill for 100 m and turn left on the track through the fields. Enter the forest and continue to the left by the meadow. Take the road on the right for 100 m, then continue left towards Reventin-Vaugris. Pass the houses and take the path on the right in the forest. Turn left on the second path to reach the road. Turn right and then, at the crossroads, turn left. When you reach the houses, turn left onto Chemin de Malacombe. On the other side of the coomb, continue straight downhill on Chemin du Moulin. After the house, turn right onto the path along the edge of the forest. After the Pont des Amoureux (bridge), take a left and then, immediately right, the path which goes up to "Croix des Chasseurs". Return to the starting point along the route of the outward journey.

On the track on the black kite, come and dicover the wealth of the Rhône valley: view on the regional park of the Pilat, vineyards of Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu. 1- At the town hall car park, go along the wall south of the château, and turn left onto Chemin Champ-Sever. It turns to the left and reaches Chemin de Saint-Laurent, which you should follow. > Variant via Allée des Tilleuls: at the town hall car park, walk along the old stables towards the church, walk around the walls of the château, then turn right on a path to Chemin de Saint-Laurent. 2- Continue on the path going up to the right (marker C; troglodyte cave). At the next crossroads, take the dirt road opposite. 3- On the plateau (view of the Alps and Crêts du Pilat), turn left on the road up to the water tower, then right on Chemin de l’Abri. At the post "Château d'eau", follow "Gerbey" to go down towards the Rhône. 4- At the crossroads, towards the boulders, take the path Chemin de l'Escadron, along the belvedere (panoramic view of Condrieu, Les Roches de Condrieu, the leisure centre and the Ile du Beurre), which goes down into the forest. 5- At the bottom, take on the left the track along the railway (be careful with children for 750 m). 6- At the "Gerbey" post, go up to Chonas by the Chemin de Bellevue, then the stabilised track (M marker). 7- At the belvedere (orientation table facing the famous vineyards: Côtes du Rhône, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu), continue the climb. Reach the agricultural plateau (marker A). 8- At the road on the plateau (Chemin des Grandes-Bruyères), turn left, then right, on Chemin du Berbin. 9- At the "Berbin" post, turn left on the stabilised track, following Chonas. Pass the centuries-old mulberry trees (marker S) and houses built of adobe (marker P). Cross Chemin du Marais. At the next junction, turn right to walk along the cemetery. At the end of the car park, go down the path leading to Chemin de la Roux; turn left to the village. Observations: > Beware of crossing busy roads, no horse riding is allowed along the lake. > In Chonas-l'Amballan, the name "chemin" designates village streets, paths and dirt roads. Things to see: at Roches de Condrieu: the grain market and church in Chonas-l'Amballan: the château, fountain and wash house. in Gerbey: the reed bed and alluvial forest.

Track goes sometimes underwoods and sometimes through a geen landscape 1- From the car park, take the path along the stadium. Pass through the Combaudon wood (follow the markings) and come out by the buildings. On the right, go up some steps, then turn left to reach a park; cross it and reach a traffic island. Go to the château car park and the post "Le Château". 2- At the bottom of the car park, take a path which goes down towards "Pin Rond". Cross the D41b and take the path that fords the Suze stream. Go up the other side and, via a farm road, reach the hamlet of Chez Meunier; Pass through it, ignoring the accesses on both sides. After an intersection and right turn, reach a trailhead on the left. 3- Leave the road to go along the track through fields. Cross a small road, continuing ahead. Reach the "Pin Rond" junction. 4- Go down by the road and cross the D538. Continue along the road that joins the Suze. After the bridge, turn right onto Chemin de la Suze (about 1.6 km) and go up to the "Le Coin" fork. > Variant (10.5 km loop, yellow markings). 5- Turn left, Chemin des Frênes, cross the D167 road and pass a farm. Continue on the path on the right and reach the hamlet of Le Coin. Take the road that bends to the left and reach the post "La Cure". 6- Follow the right-hand road (Chemin du Ferrat) to the end. Continue on a trail that climbs to the Le Télégraphe. 7- In the hamlet, turn right into Chemin du Château d'Eau. Cross the D46 and turn right on Route de Vossère, which reaches the hamlet. 8- Continue on the road which goes past orchards. 9- At the beginning of a bend to the left, leave the road for a path to the right which goes down to a housing estate. Continue straight ahead until you reach the D538; cross it, then take an alley on the left. Walk along a wall. 10- At an electricity post, turn right on a road which leads to a path at an old farm. Find a road that heads down and makes a wide turn. Before a bridge, take the dead end on the right. It leads to a track and back to the stadium. Beware of the various crossings of busy roads, especially the RD502 between circuits no.4 and no.7. Things to see: the Tower of Montléans and the cup stone.

The "Still Museum" retraces the life of the "bouilleurs de cru", or jobbing distillers, at the period when the right to distill was still handed down from generation to generation. In the heart of the Rhône Valley at Saint-Désirat in the Ardèche department, the Distillerie Jean Gauthier and the Musée de l'Alambic show the charm and tell the story of a vanished past, that of itinerant distillers. The 11th century chapel is protected as a Historic Monument. It stands on a pebble and rock headland that is typical of the Dauphiné region and looks out over the agricultural plain, across from the Pilat mountain range.

Ruines of the medieval castle of Montléans, built in the XIIIth century. The Seigneurie was occupied by various noble families, notably the Seigneur de Beauvoir-de-Marc in the early 14th century and the de Maugiron family in the 16th century, who became Comte de Montléans in 1569. Richelieu ordered the destruction of all fortresses and castles in the Viennese region, and Château de Montléans was demolished in 1633, leaving nothing but ruins.
